i.Scribe is a small and fast email client supporting SMTP, POP3 and IMAP4, and comes with an accurate Bayesian spam filter. It also protects you from the usual security holes in other email clients with it's own virus safe HTML control and executable attachment lockout. i.Scribe is actually the free version of the commercial product InScribe, so it supports only one email account and one user-defined filter.

Mit eM Client erhält man ein in der Freeversion auf zwei Konten beschränktes Mailprogramm. Es werden alle E-Mail-Protokolle unterstützt, ebenso sind für viele Anbieter bereits die benötigten Informationen der Konten hinterlegt.

So reicht es z.B. aus, die Mailadresse und das Passwort von Hotmail einzutragen, schon ist das Konto erstellt.
Mails und Kontoeinstellungen können aus Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird etc. importiert werden.
Sollte man eine bestimmte Mail suchen, hilft einem hier die Volltextsuche von eM Client, die nicht nur die Mails, sondern auch die
Anhänge durchsucht.

Nach Installation läuft das Programm erstmal als Pro-Version und kann 30 Tage getestet werden.
Danach kann man sich zwischen der Pro- und der Free-Version entscheiden.

OutlookAttachView scans all messages stored in your Outlook, and displays the list of all attached files that it finds. You can easily select one or more attachments and save all of them into the desired folder, as well as you can delete unwanted large attachments that take too much disk space in your mailbox. You can also save the list of attachments into xml/html/text/csv file.

Phoenix Mail 2015 ist ein kleiner eMail-Client welches unter anderem folgende Funktionen bietet:

MailWasher bietet in der Free-Version Unterstützung für 1 Mailkonto.

Eingehende Mails können als Preview vor dem Runterladen gelesen werden und natürlich auch direkt auf dem Server gelöscht werden. Gegen Spam gibt es einen lernfähigen Filter, sowie Black- und White-Listen. Ebenfalls interessant ist die Möglichkeit, bounce-Meldungen an die Absender zu versenden.

MailCheck überprüft eine beliebige Anzahl an POP3-Postfächern auf neu eingetroffene Emails. Bei Neuzugängen in der Inbox schlägt die Freeware optisch und auf Wunsch auch akustisch Alarm.

MailCheck zeigt den Anwendern zudem eine Vorschau der elektronischen Post an. Anhand dieses Previews kann man Spam und andere unerwünschte Nachrichten direkt vom Server entfernen. Außerdem startet man bei Bedarf ein frei wählbares Mailprogramm.

Da die Vorschau von MailCheck nur reinen Text darstellt, läuft man hier keine Gefahr, versehentlich Schadprogramm wie Viren oder Dialer zu aktivieren. Praktischerweise läuft das kostenlose Mailprogramm auch ohne Installation von USB-Sticks aus.

- Wenn eine E-Mail das NUL-Zeichen enthaelt, wird die entsprechende Zeile
  nicht laenger abgeschnitten, sondern dieses Zeichen wird ignoriert.
- Kleinere textuelle Anpassungen und Korrekturen.
- Aktualisierung der SSL-Wurzelzertifikate.
