OutlookAddressBookView is a simple utility that displays the details of all recipients stored in the address books of Microsoft Outlook. For every recipient entry, the following information is displayed: Email Address, Display Name, Address Type (MS-Exchange or SMTP), Street Address, Phone Number, Created Time, Modified Time (Works only with address books of Exchange server), and more...

You can easily select one or more recipients from the list and export them into tab-delimited/comma-delimited/xml/html file, or copy them to the clipboard and then paste the list into Excel.

OutlookAttachView scans all messages stored in your Outlook, and displays the list of all attached files that it finds. You can easily select one or more attachments and save all of them into the desired folder, as well as you can delete unwanted large attachments that take too much disk space in your mailbox. You can also save the list of attachments into xml/html/text/csv file.

Mit FossaMail haben die Macher von PaleMoon ein auf Thunderbird aufgesetztes Mailprogramm erstellt, welches als 32- und 64-bit Version zur Verfügung steht. Sollte Thunderbird bereits verwendet werden, wird von FossaMail das existierende Profil genutzt, so das man sich mit der Einrichtung nicht aufhalten muss.

i.Scribe is a small and fast email client supporting SMTP, POP3 and IMAP4, and comes with an accurate Bayesian spam filter. It also protects you from the usual security holes in other email clients with it's own virus safe HTML control and executable attachment lockout. i.Scribe is actually the free version of the commercial product InScribe, so it supports only one email account and one user-defined filter.

Well it's been most of a year since I said anything about Scribe v2.1, and the list of changes hasn't moved forward much in that time. There are a few reasons for the slow progress, but it mostly boils down to:

    Working on various music projects, including a audio/video mix down of a band that shot a live set earlier in the year and a cover of New Day.
    Working on the MC2 foot controller.
    And the old RSI is back to haunt me.


Anyway there is some good news. The integration of Aspell is complete. Scribe v2.1 will come pre-loaded with a spell check and it will download and install dictionaries on the fly with no user intervention. Well you'll need an internet connection for that part, but once installed it'll work offline.

Secondly I'm in the middle of doing a fairly thorough rewrite of the Help files. Which includes fixing some things in the HTML rendering. Reviewing all the parts of the application that have "Help" buttons (or should have "Help" buttons) and making sure they work correctly. Updating all the pages with current information. It's actually a big slab of work. Lots of cross referencing things and checking the UI and source code so I accurately describe the functionality. I'm not much of a tech writer so it's tedious for me.

Anyway there is now a beta release online for v2.1. I look forward to getting feedback on what works and what doesn't.

Preferences are now saved to disk immediately on pressing OK or Apply.
New preferences have been added for default sorting of the message lists. They are found in the 'Message list' frame of the Display/
Summaries page of the general preferences. These options only apply to newly created folders.
The menu item 'Delete thread' has been moved to the Message menu. Previously clicking it would not delete the thread, but just move it to the Trash folder. Now it will delete the thread.
An additional menu item has been added, 'Move thread to trash', which implements the original behaviour.

NK2Edit edits the "auto-complete" entries in Microsoft Outlook. Auto-complete is a useful feature to automatically suggest items based on the first few letters of the recipient, but over time can gather invalid or unwanted contacts. The name comes from the .N2K file extension Outlook saves this email list to.

A 64-bit version (only for using with Outlook 2010 64-bit) is available.
