Pegasus Mail is an e-mail client that interacts directly with the user, allowing mail to be sent, read, filed, printed and otherwise manipulated through a graphical interface. Small and fast, it can be left running permanently on the workstation and includes powerful tools to notify the user when new mail arrives. It can run on single Windows computers, or local area networks - it has special support for Novell NetWare LANs that allow it to operate intuitively and with almost no maintenance. It also supports multiple users on a single computer. It can act as a complete internal mail system on its own without needing further servers or components: it can send and receive Internet mail on its own using standard protocols (SMTP, IMAP and POP3).

Version 4.73 is a refresh release that updates components and fixes a minor security issue.

    New OpenSSL build  This version includes OpenSSL v1.0.2n, a recent release with numerous fixes and with new capabilities such as support for Perfect Forward Secrecy. For those who are wondering why we have not moved from the v1.0.2 family of OpenSSL to v1.1.x, it's mainly because the move requires a number of code changes, and we want to be sure the v1.1.x stream is completely stable before migrating to it; rest assured that we will move to it in due course though.

    Security fix  a DLL load order bug reported by security researcher "hyp3rlinx" has been fixed. We are not aware of any exploitation of this bug to date, and it is a fairly low-impact problem, but better to be safe than sorry.

    Completely updated Help system  This is the first Pegasus Mail version 5 feature to make it to release - we are adding it ahead of v5 because it's extremely useful, and because it is also stands on its own well in either version. The new help file has been completely brought up to date, with a much improved appearance and a much improved table of contents and index. It is also far easier to maintain from a developer standpoint, so it should be simpler to keep it aggressively up-to-date in future.

    Updated HTML rendering components The arms race continues... Martin and Michael have once more put considerable time and effort into updating IERenderer and BearHTML to support the ever-changing HTML landscape: I would like to offer my deepest thanks to them for their tireless efforts in what can be a very thankless area.

OutlookStatView scans your Outlook mailbox, and display a general statistics about the users that you communicate via emails. For each user/email, the following information is displayed: The number of outgoing messages that you sent to the user (separated by to/cc/bcc), the number of incoming message that the user sent to you, the total size of messages sent by the user, the email client software used by this user, and the time range that you send/received emails with the specified user.

A 64-bit version (only for use with Outlook 2010 64-bit) is available.

NK2Edit edits the "auto-complete" entries in Microsoft Outlook. Auto-complete is a useful feature to automatically suggest items based on the first few letters of the recipient, but over time can gather invalid or unwanted contacts. The name comes from the .N2K file extension Outlook saves this email list to.

A 64-bit version (only for using with Outlook 2010 64-bit) is available.

i.Scribe is a small and fast email client supporting SMTP, POP3 and IMAP4, and comes with an accurate Bayesian spam filter. It also protects you from the usual security holes in other email clients with it's own virus safe HTML control and executable attachment lockout. i.Scribe is actually the free version of the commercial product InScribe, so it supports only one email account and one user-defined filter.

Mailspring is an easy-to-use cross-platform IMAP email client.

It uses a new C++ sync engine based on Mailcore2 and utilizes roughly half the RAM and CPU of other email clients. It idles with almost zero "CPU Wakes", translating to great battery life when used on a laptop.

Mailspring is built on the modern web with Electron, React, and Flux. It is designed to be extensible, allowing you to create new experiences and workflows around email.
