Ghostscript erstellt PostScript- sowie PDF-Dateien und bereitet diese für Bildschirmansicht und Druck auf. Auch eine Konvertierung von PostScript-Dateien in PDF-Dokumente und gängige Bildformate ist mit dem Tool möglich. Die etwas umständliche Bedienung per Kommandozeile lässt sich mit grafischen Bedienoberlächen wie GSView oder GhostView umgehen. Ghostscript harmoniert prima mit FreePDF XP zum kostenlosen Erstellen von PDF-Dokumenten.

    As of this release (9.07), Ghostscript and GhostPDL are distributed under the GNU Affero General Public License (AGPL).

    Ghostscript now has the option to be built as thread safe. Note that not all devices are thread safe. See the GS_THREADSAFE option in: GS_THREADSAFE

    The pdfwrite devices now supports linearized (or optimized for fast web view) output directly ("-dFastWebView")

doPDF is a free PDF converter for both personal and commercial use. Using doPDF you can create PDF files by selecting the "Print" command from virtually any application. With one click you can convert your Microsoft Excel, Word or PowerPoint documents or your emails and favorite web sites to PDF files. doPDF is a free PDF converter, it is not a PDF viewer. doPDF installs itself as a virtual PDF printer driver so after a successful installation will appear in your Printers and Faxes list. BugFix: TWAIN (Scanner) Probleme behoben

Beim Import vom Scanner oder Camera haben einige Nutzer von Problemen in der GUI sowie anderen Schwierigkeiten berichtet. Wir haben die Anbindung von TWAIN-Geräten bzw. den dafür nötigen Treiber überarbeitet und hoffen nun, das all diese Probleme nun der Vergangenheit angehören.
Ebenfalls sollte nun das Importieren von mehreren Seiten über einen Einzugsscanner funktionieren, wo vorher immer nur eine Seite importiert wurde.
Feature: Laden von Dateien per Kommandozeile, bei geöffnetem PDF24 Editor

Beim PDF24 Editor kann immer nur eine Instanz gleichzeitig geöffnet sein. Wollte man nun bei geöffnetem Editor eine weitere Datei per Kommandozeile laden, schlug dies fehl. In dieser Version gibt es nun dieses Feature. Werden weitere Dateien über die Kommandozeile geladen und ist der PDF24 Editor bereits geöffnet, dann werden die Dateien in die bereits geöffnete Instanz geladen.
Optimierung: Setup erweitert, um Probleme bei der PDF Erstellung zu beheben

War bereits eine ältere Version auf dem Rechner installiert und hat der Benutzer nun ein Update eingespielt oder eine neue Version installiert, dann trat es gelegentlich auf, dass der Benutzer keine PDF Dateien mehr erstellen konnte. Dies war auf alte Dateien zurückzuführen, die durch die Windows UAC virtualisiert wurden. Hierzu gibt es nun eine Unterstützung im Setup. Das Setup erkennt diesen Fall und installiert den PDF24 Creator so, das PDF Dateien erstellt werden können, auch wenn dieser Fall auftritt.

Der PDF24 Creator ist in sehr viele Sprachen übersetzt. Der Installer hingegen war nur für ein paar Sprachen ausgelegt. Hier wurde nachgebessert und es wurden weiteren Sprachen zugefügt. Hinzugefügte Sprachen sind: Portuguese, Danish, Finnish, Hungarian, Russian, Japanese, Polish, Czech, Dutch, Greek, Hebrew

Verbesserung: Ghostscript 9.07 wird nun mit ausgeliefert

Alle Verbesserungen in dieser Version fließen damit in den PDF24 Creator ein. Ebenfalls wird die neue Option -dFastWebView verwendet.
Verbesserung: Öffnen von Ordnern im Editor optimiert

Der integrierte Datei-Explorer im PDF24 Editor öffnet nun den entsprechenden Ordner, indem sich die geladene Datei befindet. Dies gilt nur für die erste geladene Datei. Wenn die erste Datei geladen wird, dann wird automatisch der zugehörige Ordner geöffnet. Das ist eine Verbesserung, die das Arbeiten mit dem Editor beschleunigt, denn der Ordner wird wahrscheinlich für folgende Operationen verwendet. Gerade wenn man eine Datei über die Kommandozeile oder über "Öffnen mit" öffnet, ist dieses neue Feature extrem hilfreich.
Verbesserung: Das zuletzt verwendete Profil im Assistenten wird besser vermerkt

Das zuletzt eingestellte Profil im Assistenten wird beim Schließen des Assistenten gespeichert und beim nächsten Öffnen automatisch wieder geöffnet. Vorher wurde das zuletzt verwendete Profil nur vermerkt, wenn eine PDF erstellt wurde, was teilweise nicht ideal war.
Verbesserung: Fontmap-Erstellung in das Setup integriert
