Epub2PDF, ein freies Programm, zum Umwandeln von E-Books aus dem Epub-Format in PDF-Dateien, ist in Version 0.4 erhältlich.

Die Entwickler haben die Verarbeitung der NCX-Inhaltsverzeichnisse im Ausgangsformat verbessert. Nun gibt auch das PDF-Inhaltsverzeichnis die Struktur eines E-Books inklusive sämtlicher Verschachtelungen wieder.

Das Javaprogramm Epub2PDF setzt JRE 6 als Laufzeitumgebung voraus. Es beruht auf der PDF-Bibliothek Itext und dem XML-Parser Apache Xerces. Das Tool steht unter GLPv3 und ist in Version 0.4 zum Download in Quelltext- und Binärausgabe erhältlich.

Gibts z.Z. kostenlos...Die Seriennummer muss per E-Mail (Trashmail & Co funktionieren) angefordert werden. Nach der Installation könnt ihr ganz normal per Drag & Drop PDFs in den Konverter ziehen. Diese PDFs werden dann in Microsoft Word-Dokumente umgewandelt. Welche Seiten dabei umgewandelt werden sollen, könnt ihr selber einstellen. Solltet ihr PDFs umwandeln wollen, die mit einem Passwort versehen sind, so könnt ihr diese Passwörter direkt im Konverter eingeben.
