    Filmulate:

    White balance can be sampled from a spot on the image. it will be remembered for that camera until overwritten or the program is closed. You can apply those saved white balance parameters to other photos taken by the same model of camera. In addition, you can also save manually chosen white balance parameters.
    Filmulator now indicates more clearly that a photo has been saved by showing a brief notification over the image view.
    Saving images on NFS network shares no longer crashes Filmulator.
    EXIF data for ISO and shutter speed is now written correctly to TIFF files.
    The lens correction dropdown tooltip now gets properly translated.
    The minimum crop area is set to 20 pixels on a side to prevent crashes.
    The escape key now cancels the lens selection box.

    Import:

    It is now possible to import from UNC file paths on Windows (those without a drive letter).
    It is now possible to import in place from a directory containing "DCIM". You do have to override the warning to do so, however.

    General:

    After updating Lensfun, the user is now prompted to restart Filmulator.
    Now with Portuguese translations, thanks to Juliano Serra.
    When using a raw file as an argument to launch Filmulator, it now opens directly to the Filmulate tab with that image selected.
    Windows builds should now correctly handle non-ASCII characters.
    Cryptographic signatures are now provided for verifying downloads. Download the version you want and the corresponding .sig file, then run gpg --verify [filename].sig [filename].

Alternate Pic View is a program that enables you to view image files and make some adjustments. It supports multiple formats, including BMP, JPG, PCX, TGA and WMF.

The interface of the application is familiar and easy to work with. Images can be imported with the help of the file browser or 'drag and drop' method. So, you can use some basic editing tools, such as line, arrow, rectangle, freehand, fill, text and pen, along with the undo and redo functions. But you can also zoom in and out, switch to full screen mode, create a slideshow, enable thumbnail view mode, crop a selection and make Alternate Pic View retain the EXIF/IPTC information.

Alternate Pic View allows you to apply several effects to the pictures; they revolve around rotation, mirror, flip, invert, sharpen, blur, contrast, brightness, pixelization, noise and red eye removal, just to name a few.

The graphic editing tool supports keyboard shortcuts and multiple languages for the interface, has a good response time and contains user documentation. We have not come across any issues throughout our testing; Alternate Pic View did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs throughout our testing.  Thanks to its intuitive layout, less experienced users can easily find their way around this app.

Mit dem Tool WIA-Loader lassen sich Fotos von einer Kamera oder Speicherkarte auf den Computer übertragen und auf Wunsch auch gleich anhand flexibler Optionen umbenennen. Darüber hinaus vermag es auch die Bilder auf einen FTP-Server zu laden, einfache HTML-Fotoalben anzulegen sowie unter Windows XP die Kameras fernzusteuern. Außerdem geocodiert WIA-Loader die Bilder, indem es GPS-Daten, die als GPX-Dateien zur Verfügung stehen, in die EXIF-Header der Bilder einbettet. Zum problemlosen Ausführen des Tools wird das .NET-Framework 2.0 oder höher unter Windows benötigt. Mit dem Mono-Framework ist das Tool zudem auch unter Linux und Mac OS X lauffähig.

    Added: Titleview window, showing the tree structure of an album will show up right next to PPG if a PPG album is detected above or below the current album. This is a significant enhancement that makes navigation in a Title Album much easier. A Title Album is simply a PPG album that has sub-albums underneath (i.e. a tree of albums).
    Added: a force-reset update-everything checkbox to the publish form to override all date checks and force every file to be re-uploaded. This can be handy if the publishing gets into an unknown state (like if someone removes files from the server, or restores from backup and dates get messed up, etc.)
    Added: a Preview reset button (on top of Preview button). This forces the Preview to go to the upper left of the main computer screen. This can be useful in multiple-monitor situations, if you “lose” the Preview window, or in situations where you drag the Preview off-screen, or otherwise lose it, or accidentally shrink it too small and can’t find it.
