ExifTool kann mehr als nur Meta-Daten lesen und schreiben: Die von der Kamera gelieferten EXIF-Daten sind nicht immer korrekt, beispielsweise wenn das Kameradatum nicht stimmt oder der Kommentar noch auf den Vorbesitzer der Kamera hinweist. Solche Fehler korrigiert das Exif-Tool.

Die Sammlung von Perl-Skripten liest EXIF-, IPTC- und XMP-Daten und ändert diese auf Wunsch. Einen separaten Perl-Interpreter braucht man nicht. Für den vollen Funktionsumfang muss man sich mit der Kommandozeile vertraut machen, zum Korrigieren der Metadaten einzelner Bilder genügt das auf ExifTool aufsetzende ExifTool GUI.

    Allow reading of image positions from Papywizard XML files: First add the image to a new project and then select File, Import settings from Papywizard XML file... This will read the lens settings, the image positions and also, if applicable, the bracket settings. After this, the usual workflow is to run cpfind with --prealigned switch and then geocpset to connect orphanded images.
    The internal blender and verdandi got the possibility to blend seams as alternative to current hard seam: For each seam the color of second image is adapted to the match the color of the first seam. For this blender, the blender order changes according to the overlap. The blending starts with the exposure anchor and blends then all overlapping images. This blending mode is not suited if there are bigger misalignments or bigger parallax errors.
    The display of the control point error (after optimizing and in fast preview window) and the control point list window can now limited to take only control points in active images into account (menu Edit, Optimize only active images, connected with the setting on the optimizer tab).
    Improvements to mask tab in Hugin (edit crop of all images of the same lens at once) and find panorama dialog in PTBatcherGUI (remove images from found panoramas, split found panorama into two).
    Several improvements for Mac OS.
    Fixes several issues with fast preview window which could result in random crashes (uninitialized variables, memory leaks).

Mit "StudioLine PhotoBasic" können Sie Ihre persönliche Bildersammlung bequem auf dem Computer verwalten. Die Fotos lassen sich einfach in das Programm importieren. Nun können Sie beliebige Beschreibungen zu den einzelnen Bildern schreiben und später nach Stichworten aus diesen Texten anzeigen lassen.

Daneben stehen eine Vielzahl an Filtern für die Nachbereitung Ihrer Fotos bereit, von der Tonwertkorrektur bis zum Transparentfilter sind alle wichtigen Funktion mitgeliefert. Wenn Ihnen am Ende die Orginalversion des Bildes doch mehr gefällt, können Sie diese auch einfach wiederherstellen; das Programm speichert sie automatisch.

Ihre Bildersammlung können Sie dann als Diashow entweder fürs Web oder auf eine CD/DVD exportieren. Dafür stehen mehrere Vorlagen zur Verfügung.

Das Programm ist nahezu identisch zu StudioLine Photo. Unterschiede zwischen der hier angebotenen Basic-Version und der kommerziellen Vollversion: kein RAW-Support, keine Zeitleisten- und Stichwortdarstellung, keine Updates und Services. Außerdem muss man sich nach 30 Tagen kostenlos registrieren lassen, um das Programm weiterhin zu nutzen.

Bei PhotoPad Fotoeditor spricht der Programmname für sich. Die Freeware bringt eine Reihe gängiger Werkzeuge zur Optimierung digitaler Bilder sowie einen integrierten Uploader für Facebook und Flickr auf den Rechner.

Im Grunde liest sich die Funktionspalette des PhotoPad Fotoeditor wenig spektakulär: Drehen, Rotieren und Spiegeln beherrscht der Bildbearbeiter ebenso wie Anpassung der Parameter für Helligkeit, Kontrast oder Farbsättigung sowie -ton. Auch Effekte wie das Umwandeln farbiger in Graustufen-Bilder sowie das Umfärben in altertümlich wirkende Sepia-Aufnahmen bringt das virtuelle Fotostudio mit auf den Rechner.

Als pfiffig erweist sich allerdings das aus Profi-Programmen wie Adobe Photoshop bekannte Protokoll der Bearbeitungsschritte. Hier macht man einzelne Aktionen rückgängig, ohne die sonstigen Bearbeitungen dadurch zu beeinflussen.

Abgerundet wird PhotoPad Fotoeditor durch ein spezielles Werkzeug, welches unschöne rote Augen aus den Bildern entfernt. Zu beachten gilt, dass die Freeware weitere Software des Herstellers installieren möchte. Dies lässt sich aber per Mausklick unterbinden.

QuickImageComment allows for the editing and viewing of digital photo info.

With QuickImageComment, you can easily access attributes in EXIF, IPTC and XMP properties as well as other properties like modification dates, etc. It also allows you to rename files based on those properties and export them to a text file for future reference. You can delete EXIF, IPTC and XMP properties allowing for exceptions to be defined. Single properties can be selectively deleted if you wish. At its core, QuickImageComment provides a user-friendly way to modify image data, but it also has organizational tools for keeping an image collection in order like special masks for synchronizing recording times of a set of images taken with different cameras. Images can then easily be grouped by properties (mostly camera model). For each of those created groups, you can enter a shift of the recording time. This process will allow the images to be time sorted.

A 64-bit version is also available.

    In case an error occurred during reading meta data, no meta data were displayed. As these errors were related to single properties only (which usually are of no interest for the user), now meta data are displayed.

    As (according to experience) errors in meta data usually did not affect properties of interest for the user, one setting was changed: In this case no message box is displayed any longer. If desired, this can be changed via mask "Settings".

Error Corrections:

    If no internet connection was available, the program terminated when checking for a new version. This error is corrected.
