Mit "StudioLine PhotoBasic" können Sie Ihre persönliche Bildersammlung bequem auf dem Computer verwalten. Die Fotos lassen sich einfach in das Programm importieren. Nun können Sie beliebige Beschreibungen zu den einzelnen Bildern schreiben und später nach Stichworten aus diesen Texten anzeigen lassen.

Daneben stehen eine Vielzahl an Filtern für die Nachbereitung Ihrer Fotos bereit, von der Tonwertkorrektur bis zum Transparentfilter sind alle wichtigen Funktion mitgeliefert. Wenn Ihnen am Ende die Orginalversion des Bildes doch mehr gefällt, können Sie diese auch einfach wiederherstellen; das Programm speichert sie automatisch.

Ihre Bildersammlung können Sie dann als Diashow entweder fürs Web oder auf eine CD/DVD exportieren. Dafür stehen mehrere Vorlagen zur Verfügung.

Das Programm ist nahezu identisch zu StudioLine Photo. Unterschiede zwischen der hier angebotenen Basic-Version und der kommerziellen Vollversion: kein RAW-Support, keine Zeitleisten- und Stichwortdarstellung, keine Updates und Services. Außerdem muss man sich nach 30 Tagen kostenlos registrieren lassen, um das Programm weiterhin zu nutzen.

PhotoFiltre ist ein vollwertiges Bildbearbeitungsprogramm mit über 100 Filter und Effekten. Es beherrscht neben den verbreiteten Bild-Formaten GIF, JPG, BMP, PNG, ICO, TIF usw. auch PCD (Photo-CD), PSD (Photoshop), PSP (Paintshop Pro) sowie JPEG2000-Bilder. Für das Abspeichern stehen u.a. die Formate JPG, BMP, GIF, TIF und PNG zur Auswahl. Sie können mehrere Bilder gleichzeitig bearbeiten.

Die Fenster lassen sich zur besseren Übersicht horizontal oder vertikal nebeneinander platzieren. Die vielseitige Palette an Zeichenwerkzeugen sollte für den Hobbygrafiker völlig ausreichen. Einige zusätzliche Plugins werden auf der Homepage zum Download angeboten. Die entpackten Dateien kopieren Sie in den PhotoFiltre-Unterordner 'Plugins'. Zugriff auf Plugins erhalten Sie im Datei-Menü über 'Import'. Zu den Plugins gehört z.B. eine sehr gute Screenshot-Funktion (Capture.zip). Das Plugin ImpGifAnim.zip erlaubt das Extrahieren von Frames aus animierten GIF-Dateien.

nomacs is a free image viewer licensed under the GNU Public License v3. It is small, fast and able to handle the most common image formats. Additionally it is possible to synchronize multiple viewers. A synchronization of viewers running on the same computer or via LAN is possible. It allows to compare images and spot the differences (e.g. schemes of architects to show the progress).

ExifTool kann mehr als nur Meta-Daten lesen und schreiben: Die von der Kamera gelieferten EXIF-Daten sind nicht immer korrekt, beispielsweise wenn das Kameradatum nicht stimmt oder der Kommentar noch auf den Vorbesitzer der Kamera hinweist. Solche Fehler korrigiert das Exif-Tool.

Die Sammlung von Perl-Skripten liest EXIF-, IPTC- und XMP-Daten und ändert diese auf Wunsch. Einen separaten Perl-Interpreter braucht man nicht. Für den vollen Funktionsumfang muss man sich mit der Kommandozeile vertraut machen, zum Korrigieren der Metadaten einzelner Bilder genügt das auf ExifTool aufsetzende ExifTool GUI.

Xlideit Image Viewer is a simple image viewer with basic image processing. An image list is shown at the bottom of the window with all the images in the folder. The name of the current image and the toolbar are shown at the top of the window. Use the toolbar to access basic commands like: image slideshow, adjust zoom, rotate, delete, crop or resize the image, sort the list or access the program settings. Move the mouse cursor near the left or right side of the window to show the arrows and select the next or previous image. Move the cursor over the buttons to see a short description or over the image thumbnails to see more information.
