NEW FEATURES AND MAJOR CHANGES:
The EXIF data display is now customizable
Press the "Settings" icon at the top of the EXIF window and change the opacity and the list of displayed EXIF fields as you see fit
The program's status bar (the one that is below the image display window) has been completely reworked:
All visual elements for which it makes sense are now clickable
You can tune which elements are always there, which are there only when there is enough space to accomodate them, and which are currently switched off
New elements have been added: Current Folder, Contrast Curve selection, XMP Rating, and XMP Label
Color Management Support:
Color Management can be turned on through: Preferences - Color Management - Enable Color Management
With this, additional settings are made available.
Color Conversion (to the monitor space) is performed on the video card; in most cases the speed of the program is not affected.
However:
Color Management is incompatible with DirectX Shader Model older than 3.0; on such video cards, it cannot be turned on.
Color Management is incompatible with "anisotropic texture filtering (for all programs)" being manually turned on. If this type of filtering is found, a warning will pop up.
Simultaneous opening of several folders:
This mode is intended for skimming through several "folders at the same level", for instance in the case where the camera records shots in numbered sub-folders, which are then moved to the computer (as is, without flattening the folder structure).
If necessary, folders on different levels/discs/wherever can be opened through Drag-n-Drop; the built-in FRV dialog by itself does not allow this liberty.
This is, specifically, a crutch; this mode does not replace automatic recursion through catalog, but covers one important and widespread Use Case
New File Handling Setting - Open Multiple Folders support (turned off by default)
This mode is indicated by a star on the "file number in current catalog" button.
When flipping Next File, if you have reached the last file in the folder, the current folder is stored at the top of the list of "previous folders" and the program proceeds to the first folder taken from the list of "next folders"
When flipping Prev File, if you had earlier moved to the "next" folder, you can return to the last of the "previous folders"
Putting back files moved to _Rejected within the program is now only possible until you have not changed folders; if, however, you changed the folder, you can use any file manager to put the files back.
MAJOR CHANGES:
The logic of XMP processing has been changed
XMP files are not created for JPEG files
New XMP setting - Read Only XMP:
ratings, marks, exposure settings are read, changing ratings/marks is forbidden, changes in exposure and white balance are not saved to XMP. Also, exposure and white balance are read from XMP (if they are present).
New XMP setting - Use XMP Reject Rating (turned off by default).
Automatically turns on when turning on the 'Adobe Bridge' mark mode, as it is the only program that supports XMP Reject
Automatic "FRV/Adobe exposure offset" compensation has been implemented for a large number of cameras (400+)
New Setting "Use built-in Adobe/FRV exposure difference data when possible" (standard value - turned on).
Mac: digital signature is compatible with OS 10.9.5 and 10.10, the system should not complain now.
Windows: distributive build method has been changed. Now:
Standard 32-bit version is compatible with Windows Vista - Widows 10, and does not require DirectX updates if the installed version is DX9
Standard 64-bit version is compatible with Windows 7 - Windows 10 and does not require DirectX updates
For users of Windows XP (and 64-bit Vista), a legacy version is being built, compatible with this (and newer) systems
NEW CAMERA SUPPORT:
Canon: 7D Mark II, SX60 HS, G7 X
Fujifilm X30
Kodak S-1
Leica D-Lux (Typ 109), V-Lux (Typ 114)
Nikon D750
Panasonic DMC-LC100
Sony ILCE-QX1
MINOR CHANGES:
The separate window with keyboard help has been eliminated. Instead of it, F1 opens a browser with all current shortcut settings. Can be printed.
New settings
Other - Downscale JPEGs larger than NN Mpix
Other - Do not Decode RAW files larger than NN Mpix
Intended, primarily, for users of the 32-bit version. Better that a downsampled JPEG is displayed, than the program panic that it is running out of memory.
Defaults are reasonable: 16/40Mpix for 32-bit version, 64/100Mpix for 64-bit.
Windows) When starting up the 32-bit version on a 64-bit system, once a week the version will offer upgrading to a 64-bit version.
New Interface setting - Zoom anchor at mouse cursor
Takes into account the position of the mouse cursor when zooming: the point which the mouse is on while zooming stays under the cursor.
The setting is on by default.
New option for frequency of update checks: Never

New setting "Remember maximized window state": off by default
New Interface setting - "Always show OE+Corr column in statistics window"
Does exactly what it says.
Intended for the case when you are rapidly looking through statistics for a large number of files; the table stops jittering, changing size, and you can compare easier and faster.
New contrast (tone) curves High Contrast and Ultra Contrast
The possibility of setting the exposure change step to 1/12EV has been added
Updated color profiles for a large number of cameras.
The status bar always differs from the main window in brightness.
FIXED BUGS:
When changing XMP Label styles, the names of the menu items did not change.
The quantity of the simultaneous processes of RAW decoding is always set less than the size of the decoded RAW cache.
When using Zoom+Pan, if moving the cursor outside the borders of the image window and releasing the mouse button, a context window with visibility choices for Dock Area windows would pop up. Does not happen anymore.
When turning on the "Restore View settings on start" settings, the Focus Peaking modes would not be restored.
The lower part of the histogram was not seen when showing the histogram in the floating window.
Changing the settings does not cause the display of an XMP ratings window
If changing the settings required re-opening the current file, then the currently displayed representation is used (one of raw-intJpeg-extJpeg)
Faster program start in several cases: update check does not configure the proxy setting during the program start.
The Startup Folder and Display Profile values set by the user are not lost when Reset Prefs to defaults is pressed.
The message about the impossibility of compilation of all shaders has been fixed; the program no longer crashes here.
The order of inner actions during start-up has been changed. Now the situation that, when a file (passed, perhaps, through the commandline) is already loaded and an attempt is made to display it while the graphic subsystem is not ready yet, is no longer possible.
In the dialogues to select file by number and for manual white balance entry were closed by pressing Escape, the action "Hide All windows" has been disabled.
