ExifTool kann mehr als nur Meta-Daten lesen und schreiben: Die von der Kamera gelieferten EXIF-Daten sind nicht immer korrekt, beispielsweise wenn das Kameradatum nicht stimmt oder der Kommentar noch auf den Vorbesitzer der Kamera hinweist. Solche Fehler korrigiert das Exif-Tool.

Die Sammlung von Perl-Skripten liest EXIF-, IPTC- und XMP-Daten und ändert diese auf Wunsch. Einen separaten Perl-Interpreter braucht man nicht. Für den vollen Funktionsumfang muss man sich mit der Kommandozeile vertraut machen, zum Korrigieren der Metadaten einzelner Bilder genügt das auf ExifTool aufsetzende ExifTool GUI.

JPEGView is a viewer/editor for JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF and TIFF images. It is designed to view images from digital cameras full screen and with highest quality possible. Basic image editing functionality is provided - allowing to correct typical problems as color cast, high/low contrast and under- or overexposure very quickly and interactively during review of the images. JPEGView does not replace a full blown image editor - such an editor will just be needed less often.

Bugs fixed:

    Lossless rotate and crop now works in folders containing Unicode characters in the path.
    Note that the file title must not contain Unicode characters due to the fact that jpegtrans.exe does not support this.

    Support for viewing embedded JPEG images in camera RAW files using code from the dcraw project.
    Support for loading images using Windows Image Codecs (WIC). By default WIC is used to load JPEG XR files (also called High definition photo).     New image processing: Perspective correction, use button on navigation panel to activate.

    New INI file setting: 'ScaleFactorNavPanel' to scale the navigation panel buttons, e.g. to make them larger on touch screens.
    Clicking into the image (without dragging) toggles visibility of navigation panel.
    Zoom by dragging mouse, activate with 'Shiftleft mouse click' or with button on navigation panel.
    Random sorting order for images within folder, can be used e.g. for random slideshow mode (activate with 'z' key).
    Improved crop handling: Crop rectangle can be resized using handles.
    When in 'Adjust window to image' zoom mode and in window mode, the window adjusts automatically to zoomed image size while zooming.

Other changes:

    Russian version of keymap and INI file (KeyMap_ru.txt, JPEGView_ru.ini) containig explanations in Russian. Be aware that these files must be renamed to KeyMap.txt and JPEGView.ini and copied over the original (English) versions when JPEGView shall use them.

"StudioLine PhotoBasic" ist ein kostenloses Programm der Spitzenklasse zum Verwalten und Optimieren von Bildern.
 
Mit "StudioLine PhotoBasic" können Sie Ihre persönliche Bildersammlung bequem auf dem Computer verwalten. Die Fotos lassen sich einfach in das Programm importieren. Nun können Sie beliebige Beschreibungen zu den einzelnen Bildern schreiben und später nach Stichworten aus diesen Texten anzeigen lassen.

Daneben stehen eine Vielzahl an Filtern für die Nachbereitung Ihrer Fotos bereit, von der Tonwertkorrektur bis zum Transparentfilter sind alle wichtigen Funktion mitgeliefert. Wenn Ihnen am Ende die Orginalversion des Bildes doch mehr gefällt, können Sie diese auch einfach wiederherstellen; das Programm speichert sie automatisch.

Ihre Bildersammlung können Sie dann als Diashow entweder fürs Web oder auf eine CD/DVD exportieren. Dafür stehen mehrere Vorlagen zur Verfügung.

Das Programm ist nahezu identisch zu StudioLine Photo. Unterschiede zwischen der hier angebotenen Basic-Version und der kommerziellen Vollversion: kein RAW-Support, keine Zeitleisten- und Stichwortdarstellung, keine Updates und Services. Außerdem muss man sich nach 30 Tagen kostenlos registrieren lassen, um das Programm weiterhin zu nutzen.
