Einfache Sache das:
Da wo ich arbeite haben wir Vischda als Betriebssystem. Der integrierte Bildviewer taugt nichts, häufig werden Bilder als fehlerhaft angezeigt, während diese mit anderen Viewern natürlich tadellos funktionieren würden. Dieser Fehler soll angeblich in Vischda nicht mehr bereinigt werden, also brauche ich Alternativen.

Die meisten der bekannten Viewer (IrfanView, XnView, FastStone ImageViewer...) darf ich aus lizenzrechtlichen Gründen natürlich nicht nutzen, außerdem müsste ein Viewer "von oben" sicherheitstechnisch freigegeben werden, es sei denn das Programm ist portabel.

Selbst kommerzielle Viewer wie ACDSee sind nicht freigegeben, daher suchte ich immer schon sowas wie den Bilderkobold!

1. Frei für privaten und kommerziellen Gebrauch.
2. Durch Portabilität des Programmes, keine sicherheitstechnische Freigabe erforderlich.

Kleiner Nachteil am Rande:
Bilder dürfen nicht mit dem Programm direkt verknüpft werden.

Fotokorrektur läuft immer wieder auf die gleichen Arbeitsschritte hinaus. Einen pickt sich der JPG-Illuminator heraus, der sich auf das Aufhellen von Schatten und Abdunkeln der Lichter spezialisiert. Er bearbeitet zusätzlich den Kontrast und setzt Bilder in Schwarzweiß um. Wie der Name JPG-Illuminator schon sagt, richtet sich das Programm an Nutzer, die im JPG-Format fotografieren. Da es ohne Installation auskommt, startet es beispielsweise auch vom USB-Stick.
