Vladimir Yuzhikov hat in Sachen Bildbearbeitung ein Problem ausgemacht, welches er mit mir gemeinsam hat. Wie bekommt man nur unscharfe Fotos so bearbeitet, dass man ein wenig mehr auf ihnen erkennen kann? Im Gegensatz zu mir ist er aber clever genug, um eine Lösung zu erarbeiten, die exakt das tun soll: SmartDeblur will eure unscharfen Bilder scharf bekommen!

SmartDeblur ist vorerst nur für Windows verfügbar, dafür aber kostenlos auf dieser Seite herunterzuladen. An der Problematik mit unscharfen Bildern haben sich schon ein Haufen Experten die Hintern abgerackert, ohne der Lösung auch nur einen wirklichen Schritt näher gekommen zu sein. Yuzhikov scheint das mit seiner Anwendung nun gelungen zu sein.

Auf seinem Blog hat er noch einige Bilder mehr, die uns deutlich zeigen, dass man hier zwar keine Hochglanz-Fotos erhält, die man sich metergroß an die Wände nageln möchte, aber durchaus eine ordentliche Verbesserung des Ausgangs-Bildes darstellen:

Ist wie gesagt noch nicht der Weisheit letzter Schluss, es finden sich noch haufenweise Artefakte im Bild – aber man kann definitiv damit arbeiten. auf der Seite des Entwicklers findet ihr übrigens nicht nur Beispiel-Fotos, die das Funktionieren der Anwendung belegen, sondern auch einen Berg mathematischer Formeln und Erklärungen, wie exakt er auf diese Ergebnisse kommt. Während ich sonst gerne mal die Technik hinter einem Gerät oder hinter einer Software verstehen möchte, gebe ich mich hier geschlagen.

Die Bildbearbeitung Imagina bietet zahlreiche interessante Funktionen für die Nachbearbeitung und Optimierung der eigenen Fotosammlung. Nicht nur die gängigen Funktionen wie Kontrast, Helligkeit und Farbtiefe sind mit an Bord, sondern auch einige Werkzeuge für fortgeschrittene Bildbearbeiter.

DownSizer ist ein kleines Tool zur Verkleinerung von einzelnen Bildern oder ganzer Fotosammlungen. Die Freeware unterstützt die gängigen Bildformate wie JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG und TIFF. Schnell und einfach wandelt die Software Bilder in eine bestimmte Auflösung oder die gewünschte Dateigröße um.

DownSizer eignet sich ausgezeichnet für Homepage-Besitzer, die Bilder auf dem eigenen Web-Domizil veröffentlichen möchten. Hier ist - ebenso wie beim Versand von Fotos per E-Mail - zuvor eine Verkleinerung zu empfehlen, um die Ladezeiten zu beschleunigen.

Die Bedienung der Freeware ist recht simpel. Man gibt an, in welchen Ordner die zu komprimierenden Bilder stecken und DownSizer wandelt alle Fotos auf einen Schlag in die passende Größe um. Dabei werden auch ganze Verzeichnisbäume unterstützt. Soweit die Daten im Original vorhanden sind, erfolgt eine EXIF-Übertragung auch auf das komprimierte Bild.

DownSizer verkleinert die Bilder und speichert sie im JPG-Format ab. Die Originalbilder bleiben unverändert erhalten. Auf Wunsch kann der Anwender einen beliebigen Text oder einen Copyright-Vermerk in das verkleinerte Bild einblenden.
