SmoothVideo Project (SVP) allows you to watch any video on your PC file with frame interpolation (like you can watch it on high-end TVs and projectors). It increases frame rate by generating intermediate animation frames between existing ones to produce very smooth, fluid and clear motion. The technology is well-known for a while ("TrimensionDNM", "Motion Plus", "Motionflow" and others), but now it's available for free to PC users with simple GUI and just a couple of mouse clicks.

Since version 3.0 SVP provides GPU acceleration and now it's possible to watch FullHD 1080p-video recalculated to 60Hz in real-time on any modern GPU hardware. Here is the speed comparsion (*) between CPU-only mode and GPU accelerated:

SVP actually is not a video player itself, but it enables almost any player to play smooth video.

MPC-HC (Media Player Classic Home Cinema) is an Open Source media player that supports most video and audio file formats.

MPC-HC was designed to play every available format, but not just for fancy, high-end rigs, but also for older computers and processors going back to Windows 2000.

Similar to other players, the focus is what's on the screen. The top bar has access to many settings including File, View, Play, Navigate, and help. At the bottom, you will find familiar, easy to use controls to play, go forward or backward, pause, volume, and more.

    Added basic support for MPC Video Renderer (https://github.com/Aleksoid1978/VideoRenderer). What currently works with this new renderer is: Hardware decoding, Subtitles, and Pan&Scan. What not yet works is: OSD, Rotation, and Shaders. That will be added in a future update.
