Media Player Classic Home Cinema (MPC-HC) is a fork of Media Player Classic, a media player that mimics the interface of Windows Media Player 6.4. MPC-HC varies from regular MPC with the inclusion of includes bugfixes, additional languages and decoders, 64-bit version, support for EVR rendering, hardware acceleration for H.264 and VC-1 video, etc.

+ Replace the internal filters with LAV Filters.
  LAV Filters are modern open source DirectShow filters based on FFmpeg. They are known to be
  reliable and fast and overall should be more stable than the old filters.
  MPC-HC integrates LAV Filters directly and no extra installation steps are required. The embedded
  version of LAV Filters doesn't interact at all with other installed DirectShow filters (including
  standalone versions of LAV Filters).
  Note to XP users: hardware decoding is only supported on nVidia graphic adapters. If you
  really need a DXVA decoder, you can use a standalone version of MPC Video Decoder.

SmoothVideo Project (SVP) allows you to watch any video on your PC file with frame interpolation (like you can watch it on high-end TVs and projectors). It increases frame rate by generating intermediate animation frames between existing ones to produce very smooth, fluid and clear motion. The technology is well-known for a while ("TrimensionDNM", "Motion Plus", "Motionflow" and others), but now it's available for free to PC users with simple GUI and just a couple of mouse clicks.

Since version 3.0 SVP provides GPU acceleration and now it's possible to watch FullHD 1080p-video recalculated to 60Hz in real-time on any modern GPU hardware. Here is the speed comparsion (*) between CPU-only mode and GPU accelerated:



SVP actually is not a video player itself, but it enables almost any player to play smooth video.

PixelFusion is a video enhancement plugin for Windows Media Player that processes digital video to make it sharper and clearer.

How do I use PixelFusion?

- After installation, run Windows Media Player. By default, the plugin should be enabled so playback of video will be enhanced without doing anything.
- To enable/disable the plugin, go to the Main Menu, click on 'Tools' then 'Plug-ins' and click on the item 'PixelFusion plugin' to enable or disable the plugin. If the item has a tick next to it, this signifies that the plugin is currently enabled. The plugin can also be toggled on/off via the View menu, in plugin subcategory 'Other'.

Light Alloy - is a completely free, compact multimedia player. It supports all popular multimedia formats. Player is optimized for quick launch and minimum load of the system resources.

The main feature - it is very easy in use but at the same time has lots of configuration settings.
