        Directory authorities now reject descriptors that claim to be malformed versions of Tor. Helps prevent exploitation of bug 21278.

WinToFlash starts a wizard that will help pull over the contents of a windows installation CD or DVD and prep the USB drive to become a bootable replacement for the optical drive. It can alsow do this with your LiveCD. You don't have to worry about scratches on the disc or misplacing your original media discs once you transfer their contents to the flash drive. The optical drive is quickly becoming a thing of the past, especially in office environments, as media is shifted to the cloud.

We made a small change to the Windows installer to prevent a potential security issue during installation, the details of which will be explained in a future post. In the process of updating the installer, the version number has been bumped from 1.7.735.46 to 1.7.735.48. There are no additional fixes or changes to the browser itself. Since this is a Windows installer issue only, you will not receive an update if you already run 1.7.735.46, nor do the download links for Linux or macOS need to be updated.
