Wer sich einen Überblick über aktive Prozesse des Rechners und Servers verschaffen will, dem steht mit dem Process Explorer der Sysinternals Suite ein hilfreiches Tool zur Seite. Der Process Explorer liefert in zwei Fenstern die gewünschten Informationen. Dabei zeigt das obere immer die aktiven Prozesse mit zugehörigen Konten an, während in dem unteren abhängig vom gewählten Modus entweder die geöffneten Handles des ausgewählten Prozesses erscheinen oder die geladenen DLLs und Dateien mit zugewiesenem Speicher. Mit Hilfe der Suchfunktion lassen sich zudem Prozesse finden, die bestimmte DLLs und Dateien geladen haben.

Mnemosyne is a feature-rich flashcard memorization tool. It uses an advanced algorithm to determine when each card should be shown to maximize effectiveness.

Features

The Mnemosyne software resembles a traditional flash-card program to help you memorise question/answer pairs, but with an important twist: it uses a sophisticated algorithm to schedule the best time for a card to come up for review. Difficult cards that you tend to forget quickly will be scheduled more often, while Mnemosyne won't waste your time on things you remember well. VVV, Virtual Volumes View, erleichtert das Auffinden bestimmter Dateien, die sich auf einer CD/DVD oder anderen Medien befinden. Dazu werden die Strukturen aller Dateien eines Ordners und Unterordners bzw. Laufwerks in Katalogen archiviert.

Nach Klicks auf die Buttons Neu und dann Katalogisieren bestimmen Sie ein Laufwerk oder ein Verzeichnis und tragen einen passenden Datenträgernamen ein. Nach dem Einlesen des Mediums wird die  vollständige Ordner- und Dateistruktur unter dem Datenträger- bzw. Katalognamen angezeigt, hier Physikalische  Ansicht genannt. Klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste in der linken Spalte auf einen Ordner.

Mit "Zu virtuellem Ordner hinzufügen" können Sie ihn dadurch in die Virtuelle Ansicht kopieren. Zuvor müssen Sie jedoch für diese Ansicht mindestens einen Katalog anlegt haben (Bearbeiten - Neues virtuelles Wurzelverzeichnis). In der Virtuellen Ansicht dürfen Sie Ordner verschiedener  Kataloge ablegen. Das Suchmodul durchforstet die virtuellen oder pysikalischen Datenbanken.
Der Suchtext wird am Anfang (Fängt an mit) oder innerhalb (Enthält) eines Dateinamens gesucht. Oder er muß mit dem vollständigen Dateinamen übereinstimmen (Ist gleich zu). Zusätzlich oder auch für  sich allein können Dateitypen als Suchfilter verwendet werden.

    Now VVV works with all newer Linux distributions. Order versions failed with some newer distributions  because they missed the requested libncurses library.
    The Edit/Object Information menu shows the size of the selected folder (or volume), including all subfolders.
    VVV remembers the physical path of a volume when it is cataloged, and it shows that path when the same volume is updated.
    VVV stores, for each volume, the date when it was cataloged and the date when it was last updated. The dates are shown in the Object Information window. Dates are stored only after updating to version 1.3 so you will not see any date unless you update an existing catalog. Catalog date is only available for volumes cataloged after the update.
    VVV uses more native icons under Linux and Windows.
    The Bulgarian translation has been added.

Balabolka is a feature-rich program to read text aloud from a variety of file types including DOC, RTF, PDF, ODT, FB2 and HTML. The program uses Microsoft's own Speech API 4 and 5, but lets you fine tune various voice parameters, including rate and pitch, and a substitution list can also be applied to improve the quality of the voice's articulation. The program supports customized font and background color, skins, control reading from the system tray or by the global hotkeys.

Balabolka can also save the synchronized text to external LRC files or in MP3 tags inside the audio files. When the audio file is played with players on a computer or on modern digital audio players, the text will be displayed synchronously (in the same way as lyrics for songs).

Also includes batch conversion tools from of a wide variety of document formats to audio or plain text and a file compare tool, file splitter, and screen magnification window.
