Balabolka is a feature-rich program to read text aloud from a variety of file types including DOC, RTF, PDF, ODT, FB2 and HTML. The program uses Microsoft's own Speech API 4 and 5, but lets you fine tune various voice parameters, including rate and pitch, and a substitution list can also be applied to improve the quality of the voice's articulation. The program supports customized font and background color, skins, control reading from the system tray or by the global hotkeys.

Balabolka can also save the synchronized text to external LRC files or in MP3 tags inside the audio files. When the audio file is played with players on a computer or on modern digital audio players, the text will be displayed synchronously (in the same way as lyrics for songs).

Also includes batch conversion tools from of a wide variety of document formats to audio or plain text and a file compare tool, file splitter, and screen magnification window.

Build improvements with CMake, accomodation for Guile-2.0.12 on Gentoo.
Change the date_posted timestamp from midnight local to 11:00 AM GMT, which will be the same date in nearly all timezones.
SX - Recalculate all occurrences of all SX if the calendar is updated to start on another month
SX Window: correctly show first sx on calendar when it is moved to next weekday.
Work around libofx bug which caused OFX imports to have the wrong date_posted when in an eastern-hemisphere timezone and not daylight time.
Indicate in the register when a transaction has an associated file or URI. The indicator will appear in the "reconciled" column in the second transaction line (enable double-line view to see it).

An outline font editor that lets you create your own postscript, truetype, opentype, cid-keyed, multi-master, cff, svg and bitmap (bdf, FON, NFNT) fonts, or edit existing ones. Also lets you convert one format to another. FontForge has support for many macintosh font formats. FontForge's file selection box is a bit unusual. You can switch between drives using the bookmarks menu. Be sure not to remove any drive bookmarks as you would be unable to switch between drives as you move PCs.

The Chrome team is delighted to announce the promotion of Chrome 54 to the stable channel - 54.0.2840.59 for Windows, Mac, and Linux. This will roll out over the coming days/weeks.

PngOptimizer compresses graphics files and removes extra, unnecessary data without affecting quality. It will update PNG files as well as convert BMP, GIF and TGA files to the much smaller PNG format. The program will also convert animated GIF files to animated APNG format.

Files may also be dragged-and-dropped onto the program icon or a program icon shortcut. You can also paste a clipboard image straight into PngOptimizer and get a PNG file directly.
