Pale Moon is the work of a single individual, using contributed Open Source code to create a full-featured, speed optimized version of the popular Firefox browser. Having seen the advantages on other systems (e.g. Linux) with regards to programs being compiled specifically for the capabilities of the machine it is installed on, it became obviously clear that Windows users were at a disadvantage: Mozilla only releases windows executables with maximum compatibility in mind, meaning that Firefox is made to run on as many different systems as possible, sacrificing efficiency and speed in the process to be compatible with, by current standards, absolutely ancient hardware.

Support for 2 in 1 computers with touch screens. SMPlayer includes now a 'tablet mode', available in the menu Options. When the option is turned on it makes some changes in the interface so that it would be easier to control SMPlayer by touching the screen. When the user changes the tablet mode in the Windows 10 action center, SMPlayer will detect it and ask if it should switch to the SMPlayer's tablet mode as well.
Option to send video to an external screen. Now it's possible to send the video to a second screen connected to the computer, while controlling the application in the computer's screen.
Support for high DPI screens. On high DPI (dots per inch) screens SMPlayer looked very tiny. Now the interface is automatically scaled so it looks correctly. There are also settings in Preferences -> Interface -> High DPI where you can adjust manually the scale factor or turn off this feature.
Global shortcuts. Now it's possible to use the media keys (play/pause, stop, volume+/-, etc.) as global shortcuts. That means that those keys will work even when SMPlayer is in the background. You can activate this option in Preferences -> Keyboard and mouse.
Settings are remembered for online streams too. This means that, for example, SMPlayer can resume playback or set bookmarks on YouTube videos or other online streams (as long as they are seekable).
SMPlayer is now built with Qt 5 by default.

FocusWriter hilft Vielschreibern beim Verfassen von Texten. Die Textverarbeitung blendet alle Menüs und Leisten aus. So kann man sich beim Schreiben voll und ganz auf das Wesentliche konzentrieren.

Der Vollbild-Texteditor FocusWriter zeigt als Oberfläche absichtlich lediglich den blanken Text. Daher gelingt es leichter, störungs- und ablenkungsfrei zu schreiben. Auf Wunsch kann man auf zusätzliche Steuerelemente zugreifen und diese per Maus über die Bildschirmränder abrufen.

Außerdem kann bei FocusWriter eine Statuszeile mit der aktuellen Uhrzeit, einem Timer und Statistiken eingeblendet werden. Das geplante Arbeitspensum legt der Schreiber in den Einstellungen in Minuten oder Wörtern fest. Textart und -farbe werden hier ebenfalls ganz nach Wunsch bestimmt.

Mit FocusWriter können mehrere Dokumente parallel bearbeitet werden. Ein Speichern erfolgt im RTF-, ODT- oder TXT-Format. Standardmäßig zeigt die Freeware einen einfarbigen, nüchternen Hintergrund. Wer die Arbeitsumgebung etwas freundlicher und abwechslungsreicher gestalten möchte, kann die Farbe ändern und auch ein eigenes Bild als Hintergrund einblenden.

FocusWriter enthält alle Grundfunktionen einer Textverarbeitung inklusive Textformatierungen, einer Rechtschreibprüfung und dem Suchen und Ersetzen von Wörtern und Textausschnitten. Die Freeware spricht vor allem den Vielschreiber an, der sich allein auf den Text konzentrieren möchte.

6.0 line comes with PEA file format specifications updated to 1.1 version, introducing support for SHA3 hash (256 and 512 bit), and Twofish and Serpent EAX mode (128 and 256 bit) authenticated encryption. SHA3 is now also available as hash function in file browser.
The application is now full Unicode compliant, extraction (and test) procedure accepts directories as input, with single archives being listed before operation starts so selection can be verified and fine-tuned if needed, and many other improvements were introduced to improve the ease of use.

    The gnc_gui_refresh_all statement in gnc_book_options_dialog_apply_cb causes the 'apply' and 'OK' buttons to be set to sensitive on the open Book Options dialog in some circumstances; this commit causes them to be reset to insensitive, as they should be.
    Check printing: make logic easier to follow.
    Fix adjust_sql_option_string test on Windows.
    Don't try to compile test_adjust_sql_options on windows, it won't link.
    Fix the CMake build by linking gnc-backend-dbi for test-backend-dbi.
    Improved adjust_sql_options_string, added tests.
    Improve quickfill performance on huge registers.
    Mac Localization: Prefer the country to the language for fall-back locales, on the theory that in countries where multiple languages are in use similar date and number formats will apply regardless of language, and especially that the default currency will be the same regardless of language. Also ensure that the specified language is in the list passed to gettext; the net effect of which is that the user will effectively get the requested localization behavior.
    Update README to refer to wiki Submitting_Patches and regarding pull request policy.
