MP3 Diags is a GUI-based application that allows end-users to identify issues with their MP3 files, fix some of the issues and make other changes, like adding track information. It also lets you "look inside" an MP3 file.
Unlike some programs that are designed to deal with a single topic (like fixing VBR headers or adding cover art), MP3 Diags is a one stop solution that identifies more than 50 different issues in MP3 files and provides the means to fix many of them (well, not everything is fixable; you can't make a 64kbps file sound like a 256kbps one.)

The name of the program says it all: With Playlist Creator you can create playlists for Winamp easily and quickly. The tool isn't a plug-in for Winamp but a stand-alone application. Playlist Creator is a software that allows you create playlists.

The composition and creation of a playlist is done within seconds: Just select the folder where the playlist will be created, add all of your desired MP3-files, enter a name for the playlist and you're ready to go! Playlist Creator can create playlists in both PLS- and M3U-format. Furthermore, Playlist Creator can read the ID3Tags of the MP3-files in order to create a more detailed playlist.

Das Schneidewerkzeug Mp3splt verarbeitet neben MP3s auch Ogg-Vorbis-Dateien. Es zerteilt automatisch mit AlbumWrap oder Mp3Wrap zu Alben zusammengeschnürte Tracks oder nutzt die Titelaufteilung aus einer Online-CD-Datenbank als Schnittliste. Das Programm lässt sich durch Kommandozeilenparameter steuern; wer eine grafische Oberfläche bevorzugt, greift zu Mp3Splt-gtk. Im „Auto-Adjust Mode“ passt Mp3splt Schnittpunkte automatisch anhand von Pausen an. Um die Markierungen per Drag & Drop zu platzieren, muss man zuvor den Audio-Player SnackAmp installieren, mit dem Mp3splt-gtk per TCP kommuniziert. In SnackAmp aktivieren Sie dazu unter Tools/Preferences/Miscellaneous das „Socket Interface“ auf dem voreingestellten Port. Der „Connect“-Knopf in der Menüleiste von Mp3splt-gtk baut dann die Verbindung auf. Liegen SnackAmp und Mp3splt-gtk im selben Verzeichnis, startet die Connect-Schaltfläche bei Bedarf automatisch den Player.
