M3U Dropper creates, imports, and organizes playlist files that take selections from an audio/video collection and put them in an order of your choice. This is useful for example in creating a mix of songs or videos with a specific mood or purpose. As the name suggests, the program creates M3U files which are used in most software players (Winamp, Foobar, etc.) and some hardware players, but can also output M3U8, PLS, and WPL files.

Although other programs can generate these files, M3U Dropper can use a more portable method of relative pathways.

A 64-bit version is also available for download from the website.

Gehen wir mal weg von der schnöden Technik, hin zu nützlichen Anwendungszwecken. Viele meiner Kollegen und Freunde nutzen den Mediaplayer WinAmp und besitzen ein Smartphone mit dem Android-System. Auch haben viele das Notebook oder den Computer ab und an als Jukebox in Benutzung. Warum also nicht beides bequem vernetzen und das Android-Smartphone zur Fernbedienung von WinAmp machen? Kostet kein Geld und ist in wenigen Augenblicken erledigt! Hat ja nicht jeder Sonos und Co zuhause.



Was brauchen wir dafür? Ganz klar, WinAmp in der aktuellen Version. Des Weiteren, und dies ist entscheidend, brauchen wir die kostenlose Zusatzsoftware Remote Control Server  für WinAmp.



Die Einstellungen sind selbsterklärend und können in den meisten Fällen so bleiben. Der Server sorgt dafür, dass euer WinAmp in eurem Netzwerk angesprochen werden kann. Wovon angesprochen? Klar, vom eben erwähnten Smartphone mit Android. Auf eurem Smartphone installiert ihr die kostenlose App RemoteControl für Winamp und startet diese.



Nicht im Screenshot zu sehen, aber auch einfach zu realisieren: in den Einstellungen müsst ihr auf eurem Smartphone eingeben, unter welcher IP eure WinAmp-Installation zu finden ist. Diese IP könnt ihr im Fenster des Servers sehen – bei mir ist dies die 192.168.0.20, wie der Screenshot zeigt. Verbindet ihr euch mit dem Server, dann könnt ihr durch eure Playlisten navigieren und WinAmp mit dem Smartphone steuern. Finde ich praktisch.



Einfach, oder? Bei der nächsten Party einfach die Boxen an PC oder Laptop und den Spaß per Smartphone fernsteuern. Kann man ja mal machen.
