Die Freeware "Zortam Mp3 Media Studio" lässt keinen Wunsch offen, zumindest wenn es um Ihre MP3-Sammlung geht. ID3-Tags bearbeiten, CD-Cover im Internet finden, MP3s in WAV umwandeln und Audio-CDs erstellen.

Das Tool sucht nach Informationen und Covern auf Amazon. Die Bilder sind unter anderem auch zu iTunes kompatibel und können so auch für den Apple iPod verwendet werden.

Hinweis: Auf der Hersteller-Webseite können Sie das Tool auf eine Pro-Version updaten, denn einige Funktionen vom "Zortam Mp3 Media Studio" werden nach zwei Tagen eingeschränkt.

Der bekannte Mediaplayer Winamp steht ab sofort in Version 5.6 zur Verfügung. Die Entwickler aus dem Hause Nullsoft haben ihr Programm in den letzten Monaten um Features zur Verwaltung mobiler Endgeräte erweitert, darunter auch Smartphones mit Googles Betriebssystem Android.

Bislang musste man die Hardware per Kabel an den PC anschließen, um Musikdateien zu übertragen. Mit der heute veröffentlichten Ausgabe 5.6 funktioniert das auch über ein WLAN. Wir haben dieses Feature einem kurzen Test unterzogen.

Damit man die Musik kabellos zwischen PC und Android-Smartphone synchronisieren kann, müssen diverse Voraussetzungen erfüllt werden. Dazu gehört die Winamp-App für Android in Version 0.9.2. Da sie erst im Laufe des Tages im Android Market angeboten werden soll, muss man zunächst auf den direkten Download der Installationsdatei (APK) zurückgreifen. Zudem müssen der PC und das Smartphone im gleichen WLAN sein, damit sie sich untereinander erkennen.

Erfüllt man diese Voraussetzungen, kann die Einrichtung beginnen. In den Einstellungen der Winamp-App unter Android muss die Option "Wi-Fi Sync" mit einem Häkchen aktiviert werden. Anschließend findet man in der Desktop-Software in der Medienbibliothek unter dem Punkt Geräte das Smartphone. Hier kann dann der Befehl zur Verbindungsherstellung gegeben werden. Dies muss auf dem Smartphone bestätigt werden.

Anschließend kann man über den PC einsehen, welche Musikdateien sich bereits auf dem Android-Gerät befinden. Musik, die sich auf dem PC befindet, lässt sich mittels Drag & Dop einfach auf das mobile Endgerät verschieben. Winamp wird somit zu einer Art iTunes für Android, da es von Google (noch) keine entsprechende Lösung gibt.

Während unseres kleinen Praxistests konnten wir beobachten, wie die aktuelle Desktop-Version von Winamp in unregelmäßigen Abständen abgestürzt ist. Hier kann man in Kürze also mit einem weiteren Update rechnen.
