Hi,

We’ve prepared an extra update for Opera 61 developer this week.

First of all, we made a fix to prevent crashes that might happen when enabling Bookmarks Bar. Another bug, which was not so easy to recreate, was occurring when exiting Opera. This is also fixed.

This is also an opportunity to check out the latest change we’ve made to the sidebar. You’ll see that the toggle button to pin and unpin the sidebar was replaced by the Easy Setup menu button. This is to help you prevent from accidentally unpinning the sidebar.

You can pin and unpin the sidebar by clicking on Show sidebar in the Easy Setup menu.

Speed Dial page fixes:

    Speed Dial’s titles are not blue anymore while loading

For today’s snapshot we make it easier to select tabs with keyboard shortcuts, Quick Commands or even mouse gestures.

Tab selection

Tab selection can be used to perform actions against a group of tabs, such as stacking, closing, moving, reloading, tiling, bookmarking, etc. Before it was only possible via the mouse in combination with modifier keys. Now we have added several new commands, to select the previous, next and related (same domain) tabs. Out of the box you can use these commands in Quick Commands, but if you would prefer a keyboard shortcut or mouse gesture you can configure them in preferences.

We would like to present our Opera 60 release candidate. Until it reaches stable version, here are some final highlights:

    System dark mode in Windows 10 is supported
    Snapshot buttons are in dark theme now
    Address bar separators on Windows and Linux are well-fitted
    A few more dark themed pop-ups
    Fixed animations on macOS when opening new tab
    Sidebar’s context menu shown in the right place

Please let us know if you find any bugs or mistakes that should not be found in this stable-ready build of Opera 60.
