NVSlimmer is a freeware tool to remove and customize included programs and settings bundled with your NVIDIA driver package. You can then repackage your drivers or apply and install.

The NVIDIA driver package is now over 500MB for Windows 10 64-Bit. With this comes a lot of bloat and packages many of us don't need.

For example, you can remove GeForce Experience, nView, Telemetry, and more. Best of all, you can actually (finally) strip your driver's package back down to a drivers only package, something we find sorely lacking for a company making video cards for gaming.

TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker is an open source app designed to replace GeForce Experience. It checks for the latest NVIDIA GeForce GPU drivers.

It should be noted before downloading that Windows SmartScreen and most antivirus programs will flag this as malicious. We've tested it, as always. It is safe, and we even ran it on our daily machine. GeForce Experience adds a lot of extra services and telemetry, so this is one way to avoid all of that. It walks you through checking for and installing the latest drivers, directly from the NVIDIA servers. We found it very simple to use a nice alternative to GeForce Experience.

    Now querying NVIDIA API to properly get the latest GPU driver for your card. Much lower risk of code stopping to work if they change their website, URL format or whatever. Thanks to ZenitH-AT for his NVIDIA research and data repo. This new query code is based of his nvidia-update project. This also means that most GPUs are now supported. Still need to write code to get driver for GPUs that don't have a driver installed and named generic in device manager.

    No more DLLs needed with the executable, as they are now embedded

    Ditched HAP as it's no longer needed. DLLs will be packaged in the EXE for the future (such as JSON package)
    --ignore-missing-gpu command line argument. A replacement is coming in the future, it was removed because the old implementation would download drivers for GTX 970 (hardcoded)
