Waterfox is a 64-Bit version of Firefox. The Firefox source code is taken and compiled to run specifically for 64-Bit Windows computers. To make Waterfox stand out a bit more, it's compiled with optimizations so that it will run more efficiently and faster than just compiling Firefox as a 64-Bit program.

Neue Funktionen

    Die automatische Wiedergabe von Audio- und Video-Inhalten ist nun standardmäßig blockiert. Für Dienste wie YouTube oder Netflix lassen sich Ausnahmen definieren.
    Du kannst jetzt festlegen, welche Browser-Erweiterungen im Vergessen-Modus ausgeführt werden und welche nicht. Standardmäßig führt Cliqz keine neu installierten Add-ons im privaten Modus aus, um zu verhindern, dass sie Zugriff auf deine Online-Aktivitäten erhalten. Du kannst Erweiterungen aber manuell für den Vergessen-Modus freigeben.
    Ab sofort ist Cliqz auch für Unternehmen verfügbar. Mithilfe von Installationspaketen können Administratoren den Cliqz Browser einfacher für Unternehmensumgebungen anpassen und bereitstellen.
    Tastenkombinationen für Erweiterungen lassen sich neuerdings direkt auf der “Deine Erweiterungen verwalten”-Seite verwalten. Wähle dazu im Browsermenü den Punkt Add-ons (Strg+Umschalt+A), klicke oben rechts auf das Zahnradsymbol und wähle den Menüpunkt “Tastenkombinationen für Erweiterungen verwalten”.

Verbesserungen

    Cliqz wurde auf Firefox 67.0 aktualisiert und profitiert somit von diversen Verbesserungen und Korrekturen.
    Damit du noch besser geschützt bist, haben wir eine Zertifikatsprüfung für den Ordner System Addons (der mit dem Browser verteilt wird) hinzugefügt, um potenziell bösartige Angriffe abzuwehren.

Korrekturen

    Fehlende deutsche Übersetzungen auf der Einstellungsseite “Datenschutz und Sicherheit” (about:preferences#privacy) wurden ergänzt.
    Du kannst jetzt ganz einfach alle deine Daten von Chrome (Lesezeichen, gespeicherte Passwörter, Browser-Verlauf und sogar Cookies) zu Cliqz importieren.
