please download the archive again, i must have made error coz i see old .dev version there (at my dropbox). The bug probably is at skystar.dev like told make sure to replace that. With me the crash reports r saved at
somewhere like 'C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\CrashRpt\UnsentCrashReports\SmartDVB_0.3.0b2', but no need to send crashreport with tst .exe (only with b2 exe) which you probably already sent (coz when u have exception/crash you should see a dialog which requests you to send report, but if you cannot send it should be saved at such alike folder)..

thanks man now the menu freeze prob gone  but the other prob still there which is when i toggle from and only from full screen mode to window mode the programfreeze and i must restart

ok, the toggle from full/windows should operate ofcourse, but others already have reported issues with win8 main/windows/fullscreen toggle so that might be related to that, i'll have to look at that later coz i don't develop at win8 so need to tst that first (with current b2 it should try to reload when use EVR renderer when toggle fullscreen/windows, do you see the app try to reload the station when toggle from fullscreen to windowed mode?). Good to know skystar.dev seems better now.
btw try different codecs also for this toggle issue to see if that's different with w8

ok, lst questions: other codecs don't make difference? Also if you wait some time before switch from fullscreen to windowed mode (like about 11-23 seconds) it also freezes or only when switch quick?

Hi,

I installed the 0.3xx beta succesfully. Nothing to report until now from my side  .

Only trying to install the logos initially failed. After a short chat with dada in the shoutbox for me the following worked:

In \:program files\smartDVB\logos I created the subdirectories "130" and "192" so that the path for Astra logos is now: ...\program files\smartDVB\logos\192
I had to check in the program under "channel list properties" (options appear rightclicking in the channel list on the left of the program window) the option "show custom channel list".
In my config this option was not checked (don't know why).

Result is the same like in dada's config: Under "general" the logos appear, under "favorites" they do not appear.

Da bei mir die Installation der Logos keinen Erfolg brachte, habe ich (nach einem kurzen chat mit dada in der shout, danke dada) folgende Änderungen gemacht:
Unter "...Programme\smartDVB\logos habe ich zwei Unterverzeichnisse "130" und "192" eingerichtet (...\Programme\smartDVB\logos\192 für Astra-Logos) und die logo-Pakete
von der angegebenen Website dorthin kopiert. Das hat noch keinen Erfolg gebracht. Dann habe ich mit Rechtsklick in der Kanalliste die "channel list properties" aufgemacht.
Bei mir war die Option: "show custom channel list" standardmäßig nicht angeklickt, die muss aber eingeschalten werden. Danach ging's: Allerdings (wie bei dada) nur im Reiter
"general" der Kanalliste, nicht im Reiter "Favorites".

hi ritchibie, good to see you again here. Normal 'service name' logos should go at main logos folder, nd indeed those enigma style logo's at the sat/frequency list name (otherwise the folder would get like humungous). Looks like SmartDVB is at dire need for some help file or whatever. Someone here know a good/free .chm builder (not that i have time to do that now but for future times so to speak).
Yes 'favorites' inability to produce logo's is a feature of the b2 which already been removed, beta 3 should b there soon just need to correct some to me known issues..
Hope u had a good holiday etc btw (i hope u didn't go overboard with having fun), i sometimes look at the chat box here but don't really mingle coz my german's horrific, i'm afraid i'll then be looked up by some foreign hate fraction who knows, better keep a low profile lol
New installs should enable custom list by default, but if you upgraded that might not be so coz the old settings r just copied, i might amend that but seems lots of users also r fond of the oldish treeview for some reason so better probably not to disturb everyone too much ..

@ioosis: i tested this fullscreen/window mode switch at w8 with various codecs i don't have this issue (with slow pc also so don't think it's speed/timing related issue). Did you try various different video decoders?
(you should b able to alter video decoder at 'tools > directshow > connection' setting)
