did you try to increase the ci send repeat count (ofcourse it's enabled at the ci settings?).
ci support is limited, but tt devices should operate, so if it still fails please send me bda.log (also make sure you use bda.dev nd not bdas.dev coz only bda.dev with ci support)..

ok if u use bda.dev (florian) the log should be created (if you installed at local user data folder you have to look somewhere in your local user data eg: C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\SmartDVB\logs\bda.log or if you installed sdvb at program files its at the 'program files\devices\bda.log'). Just make sure you try to access your cam ci some times, the log should register technotrend ci log messages i could try to see if something's going on that seems solvable)..

edit: also just to be sure check with 'tools/device settings' menu to see if the device type selected is 'technotrend' but bda should detect this automatic so i don't think this would be issue..

hi jm,
i see from logs that that tt device is a cable device. I don't see ci log messages it seems there's a problem with bda-c devices nd ci/device type selection (at least for sure for ur technotrend cable device).
Could you please try to select menu option 'tools ->> device settings' nd for 'device type' select 'technotrend' for your device type.
I don't know if cable technotrend devices use the exact same api like sat devices, but probably they do.
I'll attach image to explain. If after this it still doesn't operate send me log again to see if now i'm able to see logged CI messages from technotrend.


edit: restart sdvb after setting this option to be sure ci messages would be sent..

I have done your settings. But I think that smartdvb will not recognize my MASCON CI Modul Alpha Crypt classic.

Nothing changed. When I say in the settings under point CI reset CAM am pop up window say "Failed resetting cam".

I think that smartdvb can not make a connection to the CI Modul.

sorry but i still don't see ci messages at log. I don't have dvb-c myself so cannot verify correct operation for u, but i think the problem is with bda.dev which doesn't allow the correct technotrend api to be called with dvb-c, please try this bda.dev (copy it to appdata/smartdvb/devices overwrite the old bda.dev (make copy of old bda.dev to be sure you have backup just for security). I hope this bda.dev at least allows ci calls to get through for dvb-c (reset is probably also same issue)..

for jm u mean snoop (wrt dvb-c)? Bda.dev (Florian) for now (i also would like to update bdas.dev with all device possibilities some time at future, at previous times bdas.dev did have some issues with stable graph connection but could be that i found some bugs recently which would improve that, just not sure ofcourse coz there r lots of devices out there i'm unable to look at so some time should give more data i hope, but bdas.dev seems a little bit quicker also but for now bda.dev still should be preferred).

btw if anyone here uses windows 8 i would have tst for fullscreen/window/main mode alteration (seems it still didn't operate right, freeze at times, but i've just been able to test this with vmware myself)..

just use florian bda.dev coz it's the most tested/stable atm..

Hi JJ!

It still doesn´t work. BUT now the bda.log contains CI content with many faults. Perhaps you can see now whats going wrong.

When I make a CAM reset there is no popup window.

But it still doesn´t work. I think that smartdvb now can recognize the CI Modul but can not decrypt.
