Yes seems to look okay here also concerning reported bugs etc. And thanks for the compliments, i do enjoy them still just a little less as in the past as well in reality it seems you never get compliments from real people (honestly i haven't even had 1 since people here know, i guess this probably will be the same all over the world and that this is just the way people are).

The EPG progress bar does not update continuously but I guess this is a feature and not a bug. It only updates upon reloading the channel. Would probably be nice to change that (of not much importance, however).

hi dada, good to hear. Yes that main epg progress bar updating on the fly let's say is perhaps something i'll try to look at too, shouldn't be that difficult and indeed i thought of it but well

BTW, just changed some details on my dishes / LNBs / multiswitches / DiSEqC switches system.

Added another Quattro LNB and a fifth 5/10 multiswitch for 23.5°E, and changed to 8/1 DiSEqC 1.1 switching, for two of my user ports now.

This for SmartDVB LNB / DiSEqC settings are changed to uncommitted now, 0 to 4.
Works rock steady, from the first try.  
Same goes for the Xoro STB.

Removed all no signal transponders on 23.5 after a full scan and NIT scan, as many have been turned off recently, due to the end of Kabel Deutschland transmissions there.
This is another great benefit of SmartDVB, easy semi automatic transponder list handling.

The original application Terratec Home Cinema is limited to DiSEqC 1.0, but I don't like it anyway.

Of course, 23.5°E is not really necessary here, but in the first place, I wanted to test DiSEqC 1.1 here.

More little changes may come occasionally, as LowBand on 23.5°E does not provide anything useful (ATM?).
I am not sure yet, if it might make sense, to feed anything different into the LowBand ports of that new multiswitch.
Probably this will not be decided before May, as quite a lot of changes may happen on the birds, due to the end of analogue transmissions.
However, I am not planning to implement Turkish, Arabic or Russian birds.

Habe hier gerade eine fünfte Position hinzugefügt, 23.5°Ost, mit einem zusätzlichen Quattro LNB und 5/10(+x) Multischalter.
Daher habe ich auch (bisher) 2 meiner 4/1 DiSEqC 1.0 Schalter durch 8/1 DiSEqC 1.1 ersetzt.

In SmartDVB habe ich daher für alle Positionen auf "uncommitted" umgestellt, gemäß tatsächlichem Anschluss auf die Werte "0" bis "4".
Die vorhandenen Kanallisten und Favoriten funktionierten damit sofort wieder.
Da die Transponder-Einträge für 23.5°Ost veraltet sind, einmal voll gescant, dann auf einem aktiven Transpoinder noch einmal nach NIT, dann alle Transponder ohne Signal gelöscht.
Läuft einwandfrei.

Beim Xoro Receiver habe ich alle LNB-Einträge von DiSEqC 1.0 auf 1.1 umgestellt, von "LNB 1" bis "LNB 5", auch alles fein.

hi jurgen. Had a bit of a life break here let's say as mentioned before that has to have my priority now, but don't intend on leaving this. Good to hear elaborate switch changes for you work out okay, have to say this has been extensively tested quite some time ago by some users (especially moonchild i remember) as finding testers for stuff like this, which i don't own, who don't give up after a couple of rounds has proven difficult (logical ofcourse as most normal users just want to have fixes and stuff working, otherwise they move on to other software, i'm like that myself so one should understand that too)...
I'm like working on some major changes right now and the app isn't even alpha let's say for the next version, quite unstable now, it's for sure going to take lots of time for me to even contemplate putting out tests there, just wanted to let everybody here know i'm still around

Real life of course is most important, nothing compares.
TV, computers, internet, work, hobbies, ... - things like these may be part of it, but none of them should be allowed to dominate.
Body and mind must come first, as without those anything else won't matter.
Then social contacts come in the second place.

So, take good care of yourself, with maximum priority.

SmartDVB is working pretty well, better than others with version numbers 1.0 or above, so no urgent changes required, at all.


BTW, my decisions on further changes on my dish system could not be made yet, as even now, the old analogue transponders still carry the text tables.
So no big rearrangement in sight, for the main European position 19.2E, or any other related.

So in fact time has come, to enjoy the summer season.
It's worth a good try, at least

Just wanted to give a feedback from my side after more than 2 month of letting the final release working on my PC. I'm still changing from DVBViewer to SmartDVB and would now state that it's a 50/50 usage between the two. In these 2 month smartDVB never crashed, made excellent recordings from excellent sources. The inbuilt scheduler works perfectly and shuts the PC down even more reliably than DVBViewer.

The only thing, I have to pay attention is calling the program from the tray: if I double click to fast the program disappears (not from the OS according to the taskmanager). It seems like you can "click it away" (the icon) by hectic doubleclicking. Sometimes I have to "reload channel" if the program "sleeps" for a longer period in the tray but both points are of no big issue

Lets start with stating that this issue is not caused by smartdvb, other players display the same high fps.

In my case the renderer displays the right 50 fps rate when i disable dxva. I have no clue why a higher tier ati hd5670 has problems, and a much weaker ati 4350 is ok. Since both are operated together one pc, the drivers are the same. Just curious why the new ZDF encoder gives such issues?

The HD 5*** series are supposed to bring better hardware support, compared to the 4***.
In case of some weird encoding problem, this may perhaps result in quote some trouble for hardware (assisted) decoding.
Of course, there are many other aspects around this, so individual results and findings may differ.

However, I can't reproduce anything over here right now, as my computer tuner and STB both bring completely normal 50p live TV and TS recordings on ZDF HD. 
May well be, they had been playing around with some parameters on a boring rainy Sunday...
