As you may have already experienced, Windows 10 may periodically reset the default apps. The reset action my take place after a Windows update or an update of one of the Windows built-in apps such as Microsoft Edge, Photos or Groove Music. It may also be caused by a third party application.

Default apps are the programs that are executed by default when you open a file or protocol. Resetting them without your consent can be extremely unconvenient, because it can take a lot of work to set them up again.

Stop Resetting My Apps helps you to work around this issue by preventing some of those built-in apps from being set as the default apps. This does not affect the functionality of those apps.

Network Drive Control allows you to configure the automatic mapping of network drives when you logon based on the network(s) to which you are connected. And example would be to have your laptop automatically connect and map one set of network drives when at home, and another set of network drives when at work or school, and none if it detects that the PC is connected to a network where no mappings have been configured.

Network Drive Control has no limit to the number of networks or drives that can be configured (except Windows built in limits), and drive letters can be redundant. i.e. If on one network you like a resource to be mapped to drive, say, X:, and on a different network you'd like to have a different resource also mapped to X:, you can configure Network Drive Control to do so.

    Fixed bug where suppressing the path checkbox had stopped working due to a typo in Dialog Control constant assignment.
    Problem with import/export functionality where the target machine could not import the settings and that process failing would be impossible for the user to fix without assistance due to issue #3 below. This appears to be an issue due to a recent Windows Update. Until it is resolved, Importing & Exporting are disabled. (User reported bug.)
    Testing on Windows 11 shows instabilities which I believe are related to #2 above. So Innosetup is set to not do installs on Windows 11 systems for now.
    Fixed bug in uninstaller where some System Registry entries were left behind.
    The tray module wasn't always uninstalled if it was running during the NDC uninstall. Changed the Innosetup installer script so if need be, it will queue exe files in use for deletion at the next boot, and if triggered, will require a reboot at the end of the uninstallation.

System Monitor (Sysmon) is a Windows system service and device driver that, once installed on a system, remains resident across system reboots to monitor and log system activity to the Windows event log. It provides detailed information about process creations, network connections, and changes to file creation time. By collecting the events it generates using Windows Event Collection or SIEM agents and subsequently analyzing them, you can identify malicious or anomalous activity and understand how intruders and malware operate on your network.
