« Antwort #105 am: 06 Dezember, 2011, 16:51 »
okay guys thanks. I´m looking into these freezes somtimes, as i don´t believe this comes from discontinuities anymore. Am thinking maybe some audio stream handling problem.
About unknown publisher, strange message, might be UAC related (as smart is originally an xp application the extra data-files auto-created in the program-files are protected in win7 and user data should be put in specified directories for that, not very hard to change will do that for version after 0.2.1. Just didn't want to do it atm as it probably will need testing to allow correct upgrading for all previous versions (so the installer will have to move older files to new win7 directories so no data will be lost etc). You may be able to avoid this by disabling UAC, but this might be undesirable from a security perspective ofcourse (although i read most developers turn it off as it's super-tedious to have to click through that hunderds of times a day when debugging or whatever).

@ritschibie : if you want to invest time in this (with no guarantee that i'll be able to solve it lol) you can send me bda.log after such sky decrypt attempts, also smartdvb.log i'll be able to se if at least the pmt is sent etc (which it probably is), at least for tt code i know where to look. Maybe you can use a tool like Cam Control for now for tt, didn't know it but a user mentioned it a while back to view encrypted tt channels (not handy though as you have to manually select to decode each time you change channel it seems)..

Will not play around with UAC right now, as I'm afraid, this may need quite some time here.

But I've just tried to install into a folder C:\SmartDVB, instead of <Program files (x86)> ~ "Programme (x86)"
Result, no changes in behaviour.
So, the "unknown publisher" ~ "Unbekannter Herausgeber" issue is not depending on the install path.

Well, I can live with this for a while.

Though, I am getting ideas now.
Does SmartDVB really have to write into the registry?
Like regarding the Smart***.ax filters, is this a must?
Seems to be the only severe reason, that is keeping me away from using SmartDVB as a portable app.
If SmartDVB won't exist here, the filters also won't.
So I suppose, no other application needs to know about those...
In fact, moving the SmartDVB folder system to another path, the only real issues are with those filters, plus in case with record folder path (as it's not relative), and maybe timeshift file as well.
Perhaps it's possible, to let the user select between relative and absolute paths for those?

OK, just ideas, no more than that.

about that "unbekannter herausgeber", when do you see this messages, before the main smartdvb window is visible or afterwards? If the latter it could be plugin/codec related (i have had odd popus with misconfigured codecs in the past, not to mention some plugins can fail or load bunch of components depending on how they were made ofcourse.

Smart doesn't register anything in the registry itself, just uses.ini's. The MS installer does though (the transponder ini's are made permanent, as to not delete them automatically on uninstall, but in such case the installer puts entries in the registry for each .ini, which seems tedious so i might remove those things). And active-x components (.ax) need to be registered in the registry to be able to use them in code (create on guid etc), will not be different for alt or dvbdream. Regsvr32.exe simply registers them, regsvr32 /u unregisters them. I will make two .BAT files to register/unregister them, and include them in the install. In such case when using the app portable one click on the register.bat will do the job, afterwards you can unregister them again as to leave no traces in the system. I could also perhaps do it internally in smart (when noticing some component is not creatable try to register it in code, but i'm not sure if this is the best option). I saw a portable something of dvbdream floating around a while ago, but never looked at it, must have the same issue. Besided that smart should be nicely portable because of the .ini usage i guess. But there's one major catch here, vs2010 applications require some vs2010 specific runtime .dll's. The msi installer includes them and they are included with install. Most win7 systems will probably have these libraries installed already, you just need one app that uses them to have them already, but no guarantee ofcourse. Installing the vs2010 redistributable package (freely downloadable) fixes this but might also be undesirable ofcourse. I could perhaps try to make a totally statically linked version of smartdvb, but last time i tried this there were problems, and ms does also not recommend this especially for DLL's and smart uses quite some ofcourse (.dev etc).

edit: oh and btw, if it's codec related you can try to press SHIFT at smartdvb startup and no channel/codec connection will be made (maybe i should also make a shortcut for no device init also, but you can also simply remove the settings.ini, or just remove the dev* startup settings in settings.in manuallyi, in such emergency cases and smart will restart with device query, although not all users will realise this ofcourse). And also smart is

@jackavo: this "cam control" seems to have been developped for the TT-card-series for the MS Media Centre. Following this
hxxp://www.mce-community.de/forum/index.php?showtopic=37419 forum thread it has several bugs and is only running with
a lot of manual interventions. So I will just hide myself before it touches my PC  ;)

I'm not vsure if I can make it today with the log's but will try.

I had "phoenix" for 4 hours running, no freeze, same for 150 min's (approx.) of "Rai 1" yesterday.

edit: just had a look into the smartdvb files and could'nt find a log file...where do I have to look to?

@richschibie: oh okay, i just remembered some user who also could not use ce on his tt 3200 i think, saying it worked for him with smart (never totally researched it myself).
The log should be in the devices directory in the 'program files/smartdvb' where smart is installed (bda.log, but i'm not sure atm if there's even debug logs there for tt yet, will have to look lateron).

Hi,
vielen Dank für die tolle Software!
Ich hab allerdings 2 Fragen:

Ansonsten: Nochmal, klasse Software!

Nun eine Übersetzung in katastrophales Englisch, viel spaß beim amüsieren...

Hi,
thanks for this great piece of software!
However, i've got two questions:
1. If I want to listen to a Radio Station with SmartDVB, there's no sound. I can tune to the channel, record it, but I can't listen to it. However, as it is working with older (free) versions of DVBDream, I guess my DirectShow system is screwed up?! Or can anyone confirm this problem? Codecs tried: A recent version of FFdshow and Cyberlink (V7? 8?), these are the same codecs that work flawlessly in DVBDream.
2. When recoding something with the "record" button, a window pops up and I can select which streams should be recorded (Audio streams, TXT, PAT, Video, etc.). But when I schedule a record, SmartDVB only records one audio pid, how can I change that? If that's not possible yet, don't you want to implement that function  :rg  :jo *hint hint :D*

Despite that: Again, a really great software!

about that "unbekannter herausgeber", when do you see this messages, before the main smartdvb window is visible or afterwards?
Before.

No plugins involved (yet).
Just out of the box.

BTW, there are two tuners involved, see my signature.
Both are BDA devices.
And I am proud to say, SmartDVB switches between them properly, once I've mixed some stations into the same favs list.

For satellite it's a Cinergy S2 USB HD.

And DVB-T is available from a Noxon DAB+ stick, as Windows handles it as a DVB-T device. Works well as such.
Same with other DVB applications.

Only the original Noxon / Fraunhofer software knows how to switch it to DAB / DAB+, even including L band tuning.
This may perhaps be yet another interesting issue to do some research on?

BTW, I've just updated the Noxon original software, and it also has that "unbekannter Herausgeber" popup at install time, but just once, and not at application start.

@dragonix: hi and thanks. You should be able to hear radio channels without issues, if you can view video/audio there's nothing wrong with your codec setup etc. You mention the video codecs (cyberlink) for radio, but with radio channels only the audio decoder ir involved (ffdshow also has audio decoder ofcourse) You could try using ac3filter as audio decoder for audio (if you're not already using that) and make sure you have no extra options selected (especially perhaps the 'null filter' is not selected in osd settings as that has caused some problems with audio in the past).
Oh yes and the record all audio tracks on scheduled records is something i forgot, it has been requested quite some time so i will add it in the coming time..

@jurgen: well if it happens on install with that other app (and other applications you install perhaps?) that gives me more reason to think the message stems from something in elevation on windows 7 (i know with vs2010 the install program always has to run in Administrator mode (thus elevated) to be able to make changes to the system ofcourse. As mentioned i will remove this soon in smartdvb, but for now it runs elevated i'm assuming that ohter application that give it just at install not? (you don't get a popup each time you run that app, and with smart yes?).

Running under xp32 with 2 amd cards.

Anyone tried powerdvd 11 mpeg2/h264 filter (clcvd.ax?) with smartdvb yet? I get source connect failure with it. If it worked for you, please state the version number of the .ax file.

I need to try newer pdvd filter, since pdvd 9 gives me error with multimon and dxva enabled on hdtv channels, without dxva all is fine. Tried vmr7 and 9. Also version number of working pdvd 10 filter would be nice ;)

yes, the conditions are in my sig. I use this codec for mpg2 and H264 video, and audio decoder is AC3. Depending on data rate, CPU usage for HD video is between 25 and 40%.
