    This is pre-release software and is being provided for feedback/testing and development purposes -- please backup your files to protect against data loss.

    Installation of MediaMonkey 5 can be on top of MediaMonkey 4, or independent of MediaMonkey 4. If you run both versions, changes made in one DB will not be reflected in the other.

    If you have a MediaMonkey 3/4 Gold license, Gold functionality will be active until MediaMonkey 5 licenses are made available for sale.

    Scripts / Addons from MediaMonkey 4 are not compatible.

    Device config clearness issues
    Player: some items rendered/positioned incorrectly
    Auto-tag: fingerprint lookup initiates metadata search for a different file
    Auto-tag: Album selection window appears high and then low
    Auto-tag: fields with recommended metadata don't always display tooltip
    Unsubscribing podcast does not work once user selects to not delete episodes
    Selection: CTRL-deselection isn't visible

    MediaMonkey for Windows 4.1.25 adds support for syncing with new Apple iPhones and iPads and devices running iOS 13, including the iPhone 11 and
    iPhone 11 Pro. Additionally it includes numerous sync, tagging, and database improvements. While Ventis continues to improve MediaMonkey 4 for Windows, it’s also hard at work on MediaMonkey 5.     Fixes:

    Too large iTunes library cannot be imported
    Clear database confirmation dialog fails on some translations
    DUnit tests fail on reading some tags from MP4 (regression 4.1.25)
    When M4A/MP4 file contains multiple artists in multiple tags, only last is read, but first written.
    Navigation with keyboard can trigger crash
    Crash on close of MM4 if MM5 isn't closed correctly
    Playback: MM Player skips to next if playback set on seek bar in <10 seconds from end
    Search: Toolbar search miss results where search dialog return correct one
    Importing m3u8 created by iTunes skips files with international characters in the path
    Podcasts: Episodes are missing tags after the download (sometimes)
    Volume Leveling: inline edit of Volume Level index do not work

    Wi-Fi sync can fail in some very specific scenarios

    Wi-Fi sync may not work correctly when another UPnP/DLNA client on the network is accessing MMW server at the same time
    Wi-Fi sync: Track pairing can silently fail for a batch when a track is 'application/octet-stream' type

Changelog

This is to announce that MediaMonkey 4.1.26.1896 is being released shortly. The changes are relatively minor except for those that are affected:

- iTunes DB import doesn't import last played date (#16075)
- DB fails to initialize / update in some cases (#16096)
- New timestamped certificate for 2020 (#16242)
