This utility scans the passwords stored by popular Windows applications (Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and more...) and displays security information about all these passwords. The security information of every stored password includes the total number of characters, number of numeric characters, number of lowercase/uppercase characters, number of repeating characters, and password strength. You can use this tool to determine whether the passwords used by other users are secured enough, without watching the passwords themselves.

System Requirements

This utility works on any version of Windows, starting from Windows 2000 and up to Windows 10.

Known Limitations

    Password Security Scanner cannot scan the passwords of Firefox if they are protected by a master password.
    The dialup passwords of Windows can only be detected if you run Password Security Scanner with administrator privileges.

Chrome Password Dump is the free command-line tool to quickly recover your lost web login passwords from Google Chrome browser. It automatically detects the default Chrome profile for current user and recovers all the stored web login passwords. Alternatively you can also specify the custom profile path in case your Chrome user profile is not in standard location. This is very useful in recovering the login passwords from other Chrome based browsers such as Chrome SXS/Canary, CoolNovo, Flock, Comodo Dragon etc.

MD5 Salted Hash Kracker is the free tool to crack and recover your lost password from the salted MD5 hash. These days most websites and applications use salt based MD5 hash generation to prevent it from being cracked easily using precomputed hash tables such as Rainbow Crack. In such cases, 'MD5 Salted Hash Kracker' will help you to recover your lost password from salted MD5 hash.

It uses dictionary based cracking method which makes the cracking operation simple and easier. By default small dictionary file is included but you can find good collection of password dictionaries (also called wordlist) here & here

Though it supports only Dictinary Crack method, you can easily use tools like Crunch, Cupp to generate brute-force based or any custom password list file and then use it with 'MD5 Salted Hash Kracker'.It also allow you to specify the salt position either in the beginning of password [ md5(salt+password)] or at the end of the password [md5(password+salt)]. In case you want to perform normal MD5 hash cracking without the salt then just leave the Salt field blank.

It works on both 32-bit & 64-bit Windows platforms starting from Windows XP to Windows 10.
