Movie Info Search is a local client utility for seaching various cinema related online databases, chiefly the Internet Movie Database (IMDB). The user can save selected movies' information and graphic material, as well as manage a personal offline flat database.

Vor allem hat sich Diffractor auf die Verwaltung von Fotosammlungen spezialisiert. Bilder lassen sich mit Bildunterschriften und Tags versehen, in andere Formate umwandeln und Kontraste, Helligkeit oder Sättigung ganz nach Wunsch anpassen.

Besondere Stärken zeigt Diffractor bei den Sortieroptionen. Die verwalteten Medien können nach zuletzt bearbeiteten Dateien, Bewertungen und weiteren vordefinierten Kriterien geordnet werden. Mehrere
Ordneransichten und Katalogisierungsoptionen sorgen für eine optimale Orientierung in großen Bildbeständen. Die Freeware sortiert Fotos auf Wunsch automatisch unter anderem nach Kamera, Blende oder Aufnahmeort anzeigen, Filme nach Länge oder Größe und Songs nach Interpreten oder Genres.

Diffractor bietet eine ausgezeichnete Kombination aus Medienverwaltung und Bildbearbeitung. Die grundlegenden Funktionen zum Schärfen, Drehen und Beschneiden der Fotos sind ebenso enthalten wie spezielle Optimierungs-Werkzeuge. Unter anderem kann der Fotofreund störendes Bildrauschen schnell und einfach mit der Freeware beseitigen.

Searches can now filter on media type with new photo|video|audio keywords. For example 'Photo C:\Users\zac\Pictures' only shows photos in that folder.
Keywords in searches can now be identified with a # symbol. For example '#tree' shows my all items tagged with tree.
Files in sub-folders can be show using ** query syntax. For example 'C:\Users\zac\Pictures\**' list all the items in sub-folders.
File globbing can now be used on folders. For example 'C:\Users\zac\Pictures\*.jpg'
It is now possible to add negatives to a search. For example '-London' searches for items without the text 'London'.
Files with Duplicates or sidecars (external thumbnail, xmp or subtitles) are indicated with a small number icon.
Added a new related media search to show duplicate or related items. For example 'related:C:\Users\zac\Pictures\family.jpg' shows duplicates and images with similare date and location properties.
Sorting by camera or Megapixels has been added.
Open with' integrates with windows to get a more accurate list of compatible applications
Viewing properties for multiple selected items now possible. Previously only show properties for single focus item.
Performance greatly improved by switching to Direct3d 11. Unfortunately this means dropping support or Windows XP and Vista. Sorry XP folks.
Fixed selection of multiple items using control or shift keys.
Added buttons on screen to allow moving to the next or previous media item.
New layout of controls related to playing and viewing media.
Added ability to edit common/favorite searches or folders.
Added tooltips in many areas to help users identify what a given button will do.

Leider ist mir ein blöder Fehler hineingerutscht: Die Spalten auf dem Hauptformular wurden mit jedem Neustart von AudioExpert immer breiter und breiter. Der Fehler ist ab der Version 1392 behoben
Zusätzlich kann man den Startbildschirm jetzt auch in den Einstellungen (Extras > Einstellungen > Anzeige) anpassen
Sporadisch änderten sich Icons in Menüs oder der Listenansicht. Dieser Fehler ist auch behoben

Media Companion is a handy utility that offers the possibility to gather information from the Internet about your movies and make this information available to you in an organized manner.

The information collected includes such things as posters, backdrops, plot summary, actors and actor images, ratings etc. Media Companion currently supports Movies and TV Shows.

Minor Bug:

Bug in Manage info text dialog window: when saving used to add some part of the user data to the plot. Fixed.

Manage Info Text:

New button, ‘On line title update’. This button permits to update the selected title online via its IMDB ID. It does not modify the user input (ANY) during update neither does it modify the poster. Useful if a movie was added to the database close to its release date.

New option: ‘Auto save on line update’. Ticked will save the new movie information after update. Otherwise you will have to click the save button as usual.

EMDB is a small utility to keep track of your DVD collection. With an automatic import from the database of IMDB, export to csv, text or complete website, thumbnail cover preview, a loan tracker, search function and multi-language user interface. EMDB is written in C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and doesn't need a .NET framework or any other external libraries.
