Start8 1.30
« Antwort #578 am: 16 Oktober, 2013, 21:00 »
Start8 brings the "Start" menu back to Windows 8. The Windows 8 Consumer Preview is available and has taken the Windows interface to a whole new level. Unfortunately, the preview did not come with a desktop feature that the world makes use of billions times a day, the "Start" menu.

Freeware

Latest Changes

Updated for Windows 8.1 RTM compatibility
Added self-contained menu skinning for Windows 8/8.1(though WindowBlinds skins will still work globally). See the "Which theme do you want to use" dropdown for an example
The included Start8ThemeEdit.exe (in the application folder) can be used to create new Start8 menu skins.
New default Start button image. The Windows logo is no longer available as a default selection.
New features under Control for "Start button shows Windows 8 menu unless docked" and "Start button shows Start8 menu unless in tablet mode" for slate and convertible machines respectively. Users with those machines must manually select one of those options, if they wish to use them.
Windows 8-style start menu options are available on Windows 8.1 RTM. There are additional options for keeping the taskbar visible and defaulting to the Application view.
Additional fixes.

Power8 - v.1.4.4-628 BETA
« Antwort #582 am: 22 November, 2013, 19:20 »
Power8 is a replacement Start menu tool that has a neat a compact look. While it has been primarily designed for disillusioned Windows 8 users, there is no reason that it cannot be used in other versions of the operating system as it has a number of interesting features. It is a little different from other Start menu replacements in that it does not try to completely replace the existing Start menu, nor does it skin it. This is essentially a standalone program which is not reliant on any system files and this brings the added advantage that changes to Windows will never mean that the program is rendered unusable.

« Antwort #583 am: 02 Dezember, 2013, 14:10 »
Start Menu 8 is meant to help Windows 8 users operate their computer with greater ease by bringing back a fully functional Start Menu. Moreover, after installing Start Menu 8, users can also choose to skip the Metro Screen so that their desktop is displayed when logging in to Windows.

« Antwort #584 am: 05 Dezember, 2013, 13:10 »
Start8 brings the "Start" menu back to Windows 8. The Windows 8 Consumer Preview is available and has taken the Windows interface to a whole new level. Unfortunately, the preview did not come with a desktop feature that the world makes use of billions times a day, the "Start" menu.
