i have Suse Linux 10.2 64 Bits Installed On My Pc
i want to run skynet in linux maybe it solves the problem please answer these questions:
1.are stream readers in linux the same as windows?
2.i got linux version of skynet , do i have to do sth before executing skynet? is xskynetR32_1.21 the executable file?  i get this error when executing it?:
./xskynetR32_1.21: error while loading shared libraries: libpcre.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
are there any packages needed?
what other things should i know?

I'm TRULEY sorry for asking alot of questions,because there are not resources for this(at least i couldn't find) to read,please mention any documents if you know any for further info

Why this? This board lives from your questions and from the answers you give later to the other members. That's it!! When it will work for you correctly, you can answer all the questions all about and i'll still go to the beach. 


Your questions:

1. NO streamreader.dll needed.  When your card work with kaffeine or other software it looks good.

2. The executable is xskynetR32_1.21, you must set right's for it. Read/write and executable in the characteristics of xskynetR32_1.21.

There must be a libpcre.so.0 in xskynetR32_1.21 path. Rename it to libpcre.so.3 and copy it with root rights to /usr/lib. Now it must work

An other thing are the fonts. Some linux does't like who are in skynet.ini wanted. So you can change to

xfont=-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-uni
#xfont=-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-cp1251
xfontsmall=-*-courier-medium-r-normal-*-12-120-*-*-*-*-iso8859-*

and install from : WINDOWS/Fonts from your microsoft distro to linux. Maybe, i think you could do this with yast.

Or you need "xfontsel -print" for looking what fonts are on your system.

one thing to add: you'll need the libstdc++.so it's part of the gnu compiler collection, but i think it should be installed by default on every GNU/Linux.

it has started !
but there is a problem  it doesn't obey my rules.txt file , does   linux have another kind of rules files? it's downloading little files which i baned in my rules.txt
and i had a another question: when a _partial is added to the name in skynet(forxample TheGoodFather_Partial.wmv) , does it mean i have dicontiniuty? or I've begun downloading the file after the real downloder? or if it is sth else please let me know

EDIT:
it has now almost been 6 hours which skynet is running not not even 1 files is written to ok folder! most of the files stop at 99.98% or 99.99% and some of them are even 100% but are written to Incomplete folder,what could be possibly wrong? my discontinuity is 0 now

when skynet is run after some minutes i get this:(in konsole)(and sometimes this message is not given)

It's more stable and only for members of DVBCube.

Rules & regex skynet.ini are same and in Lin=Win. There are folders for Lin & for Win. And nntp (Newsgroups)

If you have segfault with Real Name in skynetR32_1.23beta_Linux disable it. For first tests let it only work with http=1 nntp=0

If the files  stop at 99.98% or 99.99% it could be that some bits from the dl where send terristical. So the dl is broken.

i got the skynet you uploaded on rapidshare

some of the things which i  download are stored in sel folder(most of files are incomplete or files with size of 0 in sel folder) and my done folder is still empty,
by the way what is sel folder for?
i did what u told me but i can't manage to have files in my ok folder

I dont use sel1. folder. From my skynet.ini

I don't stream with rules. For each position you must made your own. Mac's and IP's are never the same.  My regex is the orignal from skynetR32_1.23.

My skynet.ini you got it via pn.

at last i understoon why it doesn't obey my rules file ,it was because my rules file name was Rules.txt (with upper R) i renamed it to rules.txt and it's fine now
