Mit dem Gratis-Download von Panda sollen die 20 am häufigsten verbreiteten Spyware-Programme und ihre Varianten erkannt und entfernt werden können.

Bei Surfen im Web, vor allem mit einem schlecht gewarteten Internet Explorer, fangen sich Internet-Nutzer gerne mal Adware und Spyware ein. Die macht sich teilweise gar nicht oder nur durch Leistungseinbußen bemerkbar. Der spanische Antivirus-Hersteller Panda Software bietet nun eine kostenlose Spezialversion seines Virenentferners "PQ Remover" an, mit der die 20 häufigsten Spyware-Programme entfernt werden können.

Für den Gratis-Download von "PQ Remover Special Top Spyware" verlangt der Hersteller von nicht registrierten Anwendern die Angabe einer Mail-Adresse. Der Download umfasst knapp 5 MB und versteckt sich in der rechten Randspalte unter "Repair Utilities" als "TopSpyAdware". Die grafische Oberfläche ermöglicht eine einfache, schrittweise Bedienung, ist allerdings in englischer Sprache gehalten. Eine Installation ist nicht erforderlich.

Das Programm soll auch weiterhin mit Updates versorgt werden. Welche Spyware-Programme damit erkannt werden können, entscheidet Panda nach den Ergebnissen des ebenfalls kostenlosen Online-Scanners " ActiveScan ". Dieser benutzt Microsofts ActiveX-Technik und funktioniert daher nur mit dem Internet Explorer.

Ich habe mir jetzt mal die neueste Version installiert und gleichzeitig Avira deinstalliert.

Die Performanz ist nicht gerade überragend. Wenn ich auf den Start-Knopf drücke dauert es mehrere Sekunden bis das Menü aufgeht ...

Known Bugs
- When installing with certain connections open the installer window does not disappear even though the installation is finished.
- The maximum number of URLs recorded per process is 500.
- Sometimes Process Monitor will report over 500 URLs for a process but when closing and opening the report it shows 500.
- BSOD streaming via Netflix.
- Cannot connect to VPN using Cisco VPN Client.
- Computer hangs while going into hibernation under certain conditions.
- Installer in spanish shows some texts in english.
- Even though the installer shows multiple languages the product can only be installed in either english or spanish.
- Suspicious files detected by behavioral analysis appear in the Process Monitor as "Low Risk".
- Under certain conditions URLs appear incorrectly assigned to processes.
- When trying to roll back to a created restore point with the product installed an error message appears.
- From the Process Monitor, when manually blocking a 64bit process, it is moved to the recycle bin but not killed from memory.
- Under Win7 and Vista blocked processes do not show up in the Recycle Bin if user does not have administrator privileges.
- The number of processes monitored is not refreshed until switching back and forth to another tab.
- Incorrect format when exporting a specially long URL.
- Files which have been quarantined from a network drive cannot be restored over the network.

Hat den jemand von Euch in Gebrauch?
Wie ist inzwischen die Performance? Am Anfang war er ja ein ziemlicher Bremser und hat sich auch mit ClamWin nicht verstanden.

Ich bin im Moment mit den MS Security Essentials ganz zufrieden. Vor allem, weil man ihn so einstellen kann, dass er nur ein- und ausgehende Dateien scannt, damit wird der Explorer nicht so ausgebremst, wenn man mal wieder einen Ordner mit vielen Dateien öffnet.

    Fixed Error Code 11 when trying to undo an exclusion for a file which has been deleted from the drive.
    Fixed Error Code 11 when trying to insert into the Recycle Bin a file which was also excluded from the scan.
    Fixed error which prevented opening the GUI and showing the traybar icon.
