Ellp is an option-rich way to automate a number of common and useful procedures for your PC.

You can categorize this app as a PC assistant that will help you take care of those tasks by automating them. RekSFV is a checksum generator and verifier which supports several hashing algorithms (SFV, MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA512). RekSFV scans directories for all supported checksum files found and performs a check of all files listed in the checksum files that have been found. The program can also create checksum files. RekSFV supports drag and dtop, always on top, minimize to tray, shortcut keys, multiple instances, sound notification and more.

Add-ons:

Add-ons need to be updated to work with Anki 2.1. Some add-ons have already been updated; others have not been ported yet.
When you install 2.1, it will create a separate folder for add-ons, and not import any existing ones you have installed.

Experimental scheduler:

Anki 2.1 contains an optional, experimental scheduler. The experimental scheduler is not compatible with older Anki versions.

Crashes and display issues:

If you run into crashes, black screens, or a missing menubar, your display drivers may be to blame.
Users on a 32 bit Windows install will need to use "program files" instead of "program files (x86)".

Text size:

If you find the text is the wrong size, there are two environmental variables you can try:
ANKI_NOHIGHDPI=1 will turn off some of Qt’s high dpi support
ANKI_WEBSCALE=1 will alter the scale of Anki’s web views (like the deck list, study screen, etc), while leaving interface elements like the menu bar alone. Replace 1 with the desired scale, such as 1.5 or 2.

SSL errors:

Some work and school networks intercept your internet traffic, and this can cause errors when syncing and downloading add-ons. You can prevent the errors from occurring by setting the environmental variable "ANKI_NOVERIFYSSL" to "1".
When you enable this option, you are telling Anki not to verify that it is actually talking with AnkiWeb. This means that not only your work or school, but also a bad actor on the local network may be able to intercept your syncing traffic.

Balabolka is a feature-rich program to read text aloud from a variety of file types including DOC, RTF, PDF, ODT, FB2 and HTML. The program uses Microsoft's own Speech API 4 and 5, but lets you fine tune various voice parameters, including rate and pitch, and a substitution list can also be applied to improve the quality of the voice's articulation. The program supports customized font and background color, skins, control reading from the system tray or by the global hotkeys.

Balabolka can also save the synchronized text to external LRC files or in MP3 tags inside the audio files. When the audio file is played with players on a computer or on modern digital audio players, the text will be displayed synchronously (in the same way as lyrics for songs).
