In the past Microsoft provided disk images for many of their products through their subcontractor "Digital River". These downloads were pulled in early 2014. Afterwards, Microsoft made a limited selection of downloads available on their TechBench site. Our tool accesses that TechBench site, and unlocks a large number of hidden download files on it.

Everything is a powerful search tool that locates files and folders by file name instantly, and includes an FTP and Web server interface. Unlike Windows search, Everything initially displays all files and folders on your computer. You simply type in part of the desired file name to limit what files and folders are displayed instantly. Balabolka is a feature-rich program to read text aloud from a variety of file types including DOC, RTF, PDF, ODT, FB2 and HTML. The program uses Microsoft's own Speech API 4 and 5, but lets you fine tune various voice parameters, including rate and pitch, and a substitution list can also be applied to improve the quality of the voice's articulation. The program supports customized font and background color, skins, control reading from the system tray or by the global hotkeys.

Balabolka can also save the synchronized text to external LRC files or in MP3 tags inside the audio files. When the audio file is played with players on a computer or on modern digital audio players, the text will be displayed synchronously (in the same way as lyrics for songs).

  2) Collaborative: menu on a shared drive for a team or a workgroup (every member can edit the menu)

Shared menus mutli-user edition
- alert message when user tries to edit an external menu that was modified by another user or on another computer, based on last modification date-time
- reserve external menu when user loads a Shared menu in Settings or when user add or move favorites to a Shared menu, user and computer name are savec in the Shared menu variable "MenuReservedBy"
- release Shared menu reservation when user saves or cancels settings changes or quits QAP
- store and read last modified date in Shared menu ini file and update it only when favorites or external menu properties are changed, not when only reserved without changes
- in "About" dialog box, display user name and computer name
