Mit dem Dateilisten Schreiber können Listen von Ordner erstellt werden. Zusätzlich können aber auch händisch Dateien in den Dateilisten Schreiber gezogen werden, bzw. über die integrierte Suchfunktion zu suchen.

Die erstellte Liste kann in verschiedene Formate exportiert werden. Wählt man das HTML-Format aus, können die Dateien darin verlinkt werden. Es können mehrere Profile angelegt werden, die beim Starten auch kombiniert werden können (sofern sich die Einstellungen nicht ausschließen).

Mit der Freeware aborange Searcher hat man nicht nur die Möglichkeit, Dateien auf der Festplatte zu suchen, sondern auch deren Inhalte. Diese werden dann in einer Vorschau dargestellt.
