DesktopOK ist ein kleines Tool zum Speichern der Iconposition, bzw. des Icon Layouts am Desktop. Gerade für Anwender, die oft die Bildschirmauflösung verändern müssen, wie z.B. Webmaster oder Gamer.

Oder auch für potentielle Nutzer (Anwender), die häufig mit einem Beamer am Notebook arbeiten müssen. (Auch hierbei stellt sich gern die Auflösung am Notebook um).

Nach dieser Veränderung findet man ein Iconchaos am Desktop, als ob eine Bombe eingeschlagen hätte. Ebenso bei Arbeiten mit Andockbahren, Desktopleisten und Fenstern verschiebt sich die Iconposition und wird nicht korrekt wiederhergestellt, falls dies vom jeweiligen Programm nicht in vorraussichtlicher Weise berücksichtigt wurde, wie z.B. in "FavoritenFreund".

Mit Wise Folder Hider hat man die Möglichkeit, Dateien, Ordern oder USB-Laufwerke zu verstecken. Nach dem ersten Programmstart muss ein Passwort vergeben werden, anschl. kann man über das Programm Dateien/Ordner auswählen, welche nach Beenden des Programms nicht mehr im Explorer auftauchen. It lies quietly in the system tray, waiting for a shortcut to appear on the desktop. When one appears, Tidy Desktop Monster comes to life to eat the shortcut and poop it into the Recycle Bin.

Tidy Desktop Monster gives you two options; you can eliminate all shortcuts or app only. This selection can only be changed while it is not in use. You can also view the log which is done by right-clicking the green monster (top left) when you have the app open. It will be useful for those that add numerous apps and forget to uncheck create a desktop shortcut. ProcessKO ist für Profis und Anwender, die sich sehr gut am PC auskennen! ProcessKO ist ein kleines hilfreiches Tool zum schnellen Killen der laufenden, bzw hängenden Prozessen bzw. Programmen. Es ist nicht gerade selten bei Entwicklern oder Programmtestern, dass sich die Programme aufhängen und sich über den Taskmanager nicht schließen lassen.
Teilweise sind es immer wieder die selben Kandidaten, aus diesem Grund verfügt ProcessKO über eine hilfreiche Funktion: das Anlegen von Favoriten-KO's!

Gerade als Entwickler oder Betatester kennt man das Problem: Bis man den Taskmanager aufgerufen und den Prozess ausfindig gemacht hat und den Befehl "Prozess beenden" aktiviert hat, vergeht Zeit.

Mit ProcessKO geht es viel schneller und das Programm kann auch von hieraus sofort neu starten. Man kann sich hier sowohl einige Handgriffe als auch Zeit sparen! ProcessKO muss nicht installiert werden, kann bequem vom Desktop aus ohne Installation gestartet werden und ist somit auch portabel vom USB-Stick einsetzbar.
