DxWnd is a Win32 hooker that intercepts and alters the behavior of window messages and APIs. It intercepts events and injects code into the configured tasks to run fullscreen programs in a windowed environment while maintaining proper behavior. grepWin durchstöbert Dateien und Ordner nach komplexen Begriffen und regulären Ausdrücken. Die Freeware ersetzt auf Wunsch automatisch alle Suchtreffer auf einen Schlag.

Die Suchergebnisse werden in Listenform angezeigt. Ein Doppelklick auf die gewünschte Datei öffnet diese. Die Suche lässt sich mit grepWin mit diversen Parametern auf bestimmte Dateien eingrenzen. Häufig gesuchte Ausdrücke kann der Anwender als so genanntes Bookmark abspeichern. So lassen sich wiederkehrende Suchen mit ein paar Klicks erneut ausführen.

grepWin integriert sich auf Wunsch in das Kontextmenü des Windows Explorers, was das Durchsuchen von Dateien und Ordnern noch schneller und komfortabler macht. Die aktuelle Version der Freeware bietet diverse neue Funktionen beim Suchen und Ersetzen. Die Freeware beachtet die Groß- und Kleinschreibung und sucht auf Wunsch nur nach bestimmten Dateigrößen.

DSpeech is a text-to-speech program with the option of saving the output to a variety of formats, great for creating audio books from text sources. It also supports dynamically changing the features of the voices eg. insert pauses, emphasize specific words, spell them out etc. using tags.

The program can import text from TXT, DOC, DOCX, RTF, HTML, XML, and PDF and output to MP3, OGG, AAC, WMA.

DSpeech works out-of-the-box on WinXP and above because the Microsoft speech engine SAPI5 is included by default. For WinNT/2K, you will need to install the speech engine separately. You will find links to plugins, speech engines and voice sets on the program website.

GloboNote is a free and easy to use desktop note taking application with a sticky note look and feel.

On the first startup, you can choose where to save your notes. By default, it will save it to the current User folder. You can also set GloboNote to check for options. GloboNote runs in the system tray. Click on it, and you can create a new note, new from the clipboard, manage your notes, show, search, hide, and more. Preferences and tools are also available. Tools currently only offer a memory cleaner, for some reason. The preferences truly go the distance with Primary, Appearance, Keys, Security, and Advanced.

Snipaste is an easy screen capture and image edition program, especially useful for detecting windows and menus, supporting pixel-level control. Both captured images and various clipboard content can be pasted as a floating window to the desktop.
