Balabolka is a feature-rich program to read text aloud from a variety of file types including DOC, RTF, PDF, ODT, FB2 and HTML. The program uses Microsoft's own Speech API 4 and 5, but lets you fine tune various voice parameters, including rate and pitch, and a substitution list can also be applied to improve the quality of the voice's articulation. The program supports customized font and background color, skins, control reading from the system tray or by the global hotkeys.

Balabolka can also save the synchronized text to external LRC files or in MP3 tags inside the audio files. When the audio file is played with players on a computer or on modern digital audio players, the text will be displayed synchronously (in the same way as lyrics for songs).

Also includes batch conversion tools from of a wide variety of document formats to audio or plain text and a file compare tool, file splitter, and screen magnification window.

Path Copy Copy permits the easy copying of file or folder names and paths with seamless integration to the right-click context menu.

It is displayed from a nicely organized menu with a few configuration settings available to fine-tune it to your preferences and scope of use. For instance, you have the option to copy the short or long name and path, parent folder location, UNC directory, the Internet path, Unix path among others. You can also create our custom commands and direct Path Copy Copy to always display the submenu, add quotes, encode whitespace, show icon next to submenu and several others.

    iOS version: There have been crashes occurring in the display update logic, due to some not yet understood condition that appears to affect faster iPhones (8, X, XR, XS). I'm working on a proper fix, which will eliminate these problems and restore maximum performance.

    Fixed extension bug - If the user included a dot when specifying the extension, it would result in strange behaviour where multiple dots would be inserted, with more dots being added each time the extension was regenerated. This has now been fixed.
    Fixed bug with filenames ending in dot - Qt appears to automatically strip off dots from the end of filenames, which caused issues with Inviska Rename. Dots are still stripped off from the end of filenames, but Inviska Rename now handles this correctly.
    Added layout to Numbering tab - The Numbering tab now uses a layout, so it looks slightly different. It was previously using fixed layout, which looked a bit better, but this is no longer viable now that translations have been added as the layout needs to resize for the text.
    Modified text to make translation easier - Many of the translation strings have been reformatted to remove percentage operators and HTML. Quite a lot was changes, so if anyone notices any mistakes in the text let me know.
