Host File Manager is a simple application that allows you to modify your HOSTS file on all modern Windows® systems. When you type an address such as www.google.com into a browser or anything else that resolves names using DNS, the hosts file is checked before it goes out to the internet to look up the IP address on your ISP‘s DNS server. This is useful if you want to block malicious addresses, or even advertisement servers. It’s also good for internal routing if you do not have a DNS server, but still would like to resolve names to other machines that do not use NetBIOS.

DSpeech is a text-to-speech program with the option of saving the output to a variety of formats, great for creating audio books from text sources. It also supports dynamically changing the features of the voices eg. insert pauses, emphasize specific words, spell them out etc. using tags.

The program can import text from TXT, DOC, DOCX, RTF, HTML, XML, and PDF and output to MP3, OGG, AAC, WMA.

DSpeech works out-of-the-box on WinXP and above because the Microsoft speech engine SAPI5 is included by default. For WinNT/2K, you will need to install the speech engine separately. You will find links to plugins, speech engines and voice sets on the program website.

GetWindowText ist ein sehr kleines und portables Programm, mit dem Sie Fenster- texte auslesen können. Mit einem Klick der linken Maustaste auf die Schaltfläche mit GetWindowText Icon und durch das Gedrückthalten der linken Maustaste (drag), kann das Auslesen gestartet werden. Danach einfach die Maus über das Fenster halten, von welchem aus der Text ausgelesen werden soll.

Ausgelesen werden fast alle Texte, wie z.B. aus Edit- , Static- , Groupbox - Controls, usw.
Unterstützt werden auch Verzeichnisbäume (SysTreeView32) und Listenansichten (SysListView32), hier wird der komplette Inhalt ausgelesen. Beim Loslassen der Maustaste wird das Auslesen beendet.
