RealWorld Paint ist eine kostenlose und leistungsstarke Bildbearbeitung. Die Freeware weist eine große Werkzeugpalette auf und bietet einige außergewöhnliche Funktionen, die man in der Regel nur bei Profi-Programmen findet.

RealWorld Paint deckt alle Bereiche der Bildbearbeitung ab, vom Nachbearbeiten und Optimieren von Fotos bis hin zur Erstellung von Collagen und Logos. Natürlich dürfen die Standardwerkzuge wie Pinsel und Farbeimer nicht fehlen. Gängige Funktionen wie das Ändern der Bildgrößen und Farben sowie Kontrast oder Schärfe sind ebenso enthalten. Die angebotenen Filter und Effekte ermöglichen aber auch komplexere Foto-Bearbeitungen.

Die Bedienung von RealWorld Paint ist einfach, die Oberfläche sehr übersichtlich. Das Umschalten auf eine deutsche Oberfläche kann direkt im Programm erfolgen. Fotos lassen sich problemlos nacharbeiten und verschönern. Besonders interessant: Bilder können auch auf mehreren Ebenen bearbeitet und den einzelnen Ebenen auf Wunsch unterschiedliche Eigenschaften zugewiesen werden.

PSD-Dateien aus Photoshop werden von RealWorld Paint unterstützt. Bilderprofis werden sich außerdem darüber freuen, dass sie Plug-ins von Photoshop einbinden können. Erwähnenswert sind auch die Speicherung von Lieblingsverläufen und -farben, die Steuerung über Mausgesten und die Möglichkeit, animierte GIF-Dateien zu gestalten.
