PHP-Fusion, a light-weight open-source content management system (CMS) written in PHP. It utilises a mySQL database to store your site content and includes a simple, comprehensive adminstration system. PHP-Fusion includes the most common features you would expect to see in many other CMS packages.

Licence: Freeware

This update fixes many small bugs and errors in the system and hard-coded locales which has now been localised for better usability. We have also introduced a new server offset setting to correct the time on your site for both registered users and guests which we think people will find useful. Be sure to check it out from Administration -> Settings -> Time and Date.

This release includes:

    * Better error trapping during installation and upgrade for various incompatible systems, based on error reports from folks newly trying out Drupal 7 on various environments. We think we've caught all the ones we have so far, but please keep the reports coming!
    * Better support for exportables in the form of a new Form API type "machine_name" and format IDs stored as strings rather than integers.
    * Links can now participate in the D7 AJAX framework, which was previously limited to forms.
    * Raised minimum version of PHP to PHP 5.2.4, to facilitate stream wrapper security.
    * Numerous tweaks to basic navigation in the default profile, to prevent information overload.
    * Fixed a regression in Schema API that prevented modules such as Date from adding to the column types supported by core.
    * Profile module no longer shows up on the module listing on new sites, in favour of fieldable user entities.
    * Fixing of numerous Bartik and Seven theme style & RTL bugs. There are still lots more, so please help get Drupal 7's new look and feel as polished as possible!

Das freie Content Management System Xoops ist in Version 2.5 erschienen. Das eXtensible Object Oriented Portal System ist ein PHP-Nuke-Fork, basiert auf PHP und MySQL und soll einfach zu erweitern sein.

Xoops 2.5 bekam ein Hilfssystem für den Admin-Bereich und einzelne Module spendiert. Es wurde in mehreren Punkten benutzerfreundlicher und bietet jetzt unter anderem ein die Möglichkeit, Datenbanken mit einem Klick via Mysqldump zu sichern oder Tabellen spaltenweise sortieren zu lassen. Es gibt neue Smarty-Plugins für Icons und Breadcrumbs, jQuery-Plugins lassen Nachrichten aufpoppen und kümmern sich um Drag&Drop und ein Dateimanager-Plugin hilft, die Übersicht zu bewahren.

Die Entwickler entschlackten den Code der Xoops-API und führten die Variable system_menu ein, mit deren Hilfe sich Menüs über alle Module hinweg einheitlich gestalten lassen sollen. Anwender können Avatare nun über eine AJAX-Schnittstelle aktivieren und wieder abschalten, ebenso einfach lässt sich die Smiley-Funktion für Beiträge ein- und ausschalten. Xoops 2.5 erlaubt es, mehrere Kommentare auf einmal zu löschen und bietet eine verbesserte Nutzerverwaltung.

Xoops 2.5 erfordert PHP >=5.2 und MySQL >=5.0. Das CMS steht unter der GPL, auf Sourceforge finden sich Archive in verschiedenen Formaten. Neben der regulären Variante können Anwender sich auch für eine Minimal-Version entscheiden, die nur die nötigsten Dateien und das Protctor Module enthält.

Das TangoCMS-Team hat eine neue Version des freien, auf PHP basierenden Content Management Systems (CMS) fertiggestellt. Die Entwicklung von TangoCMS begann Anfang 2006 als Administrator Control Panel (AdminCP) eines browserbasierten Spiels, die erste offizielle Version erschien im Dezember 2007.

TangoCMS 2.6 wird mit einem neu gestalteten Administrator-Theme ausgeliefert, das das etwas angestaubte bisherige Theme ablöst. Das Media-Modul wurde dahingehend überarbeitet und erweitert, dass sich Dateien aus dem AdminCP heraus auf den Server übertragen lassen. Hochgeladene ZIP-Archive werden automatisch entpackt, so dass Anwender schnell viele Dateien auf einen Schlag an das CMS senden können. Über das selbe Formular lassen sich jetzt auch Youtube-Videos in das CMS integrieren, indem anstelle des Dateinamens die Video-URL angegeben wird.

Mittels des Kontaktmoduls erstellte Formulare können nun einfach mit einem zusätzlichen Text versehen werden, der über den Formularfeldern erscheint, so dass sich auf dem Weg Adressen, Telefonnummern oder Öffnungszeiten kommunizieren lassen. Die Rechte für einzelne Dateien können flexibler vergeben werden. Statt einfach nur das Erstellen von Unterseiten zu erlauben, kann nun festgelegt werden, wer Seiten ansehen, bearbeiten oder verwalten darf. Artikel können mit einem Verfallsdatum versehen werden und Bildern lässt sich ein digitales Wasserzeichen verpassen. Das Zula-Framework, auf dem TangoCMS basiert, wurde um eine Kommandozeilenfunktion erweitert, so dass Nutzer TangoCMS nun schnell aktualisieren oder installieren können.

TangoCMS steht unter der GPLv2, die letzte Version 2.6 mit Codenamen »Dodo« erfordert mindestens PHP 5.2 sowie MySQL 4.1 und ist als ZIP- oder TAR.gz-Archiv im Downloadbereich des Projekts verfügbar.

- Removed modules from core
    * The following modules have been removed from core, because contributed
      modules with similar functionality are available:
      * Blog API module
      * Ping module
      * Throttle module
- Improved node access control system.
    * All modules may now influence the access to a node at runtime, not just
      the module that defined a node.
    * Users may now be allowed to bypass node access restrictions without giving
      them complete access to the site.
    * Access control affects both published and unpublished nodes.
    * Numerous other improvements to the node access system.
- Actions system
    * Simplified definitions of actions and triggers.
    * Removed dependency on the combination of hooks and operations. Triggers
      now directly map to module hooks.
- Task handling
    * Added a queue API to process many or long-running tasks.
    * Added queue API support to cron API.
    * Added a locking framework to coordinate long-running operations across
      requests.
