Führt ein Backup ausgewählter lokaler Festplatten durch und erstellt dazu ein Image des Datenträgers, das sich jederzeit wiederherstellen lässt; sichert auf Wunsch auch nur die genutzten Cluster einer Platte, sodass es kein Image der gesamten Festplatte schreiben muss; ab Version 0.2 unterstützt es Disk Snapshots, mittels denen die Windows-Partition auch im laufenden Betrieb gesichert werden kann.

Notes:
Language Selection: When you install this version it should determine your system language from your settings and use that. If you want to force Dropbox to use another language you can change it in the Advanced panel of the Preferences. If you are running Windows please note that some message boxes are provided by the OS and cannot be changed to fit the language you have selected.

Please help us improve our translations by using the "Improve translations" button that you find in the preferences panel. Just type in the bad string and it should find it. If the string is not there for some reason just post here telling us what the bad string is and what it should be and why it's wrong. If you see layout issues please post a screenshot. It makes our life a lot easier.

The new notification system will only appear if Growl is not running at Dropbox startup. You can stop Growl by going into System Preferences and clicking on "Stop Growl." Don't forget to turn it back on afterwards if you want other Growl notifications.

If you want to try the tour in your language, just go to the preferences and unlink your Dropbox. Warning: the unlinking and re-linking process may take a while if you have a large Dropbox.

We strongly recommend making a backup of your Dropbox before upgrading to this build as we'll need a few weeks to be certain of its stability. We will rapidly release new builds every couple days to snipe the most common issues as they arise.

Oldie but Goldie. IMAPSize ist ein kleines und portables Tool, mit dem ihr eure IMAP-Accounts sichern könnt. Die Bedienung ist simpel: Account einrichten, Ordner anzeigen (unter Account) und die zu sichernden Ordner auswählen. Alle E-Mails werden im Programmordner als eml-Datei gespeichert – kann also mit allen gängigen Mail-Programmen gelesen werden. Falls jemand also nicht mit MailStore Home zufrieden ist (was ich nicht verstehen kann), der kann IMAPSize ausprobieren.

Falls jemand noch die Zugangsdaten für Googles IMAP-Server braucht, die er bei der Einrichtung eingeben muss:

aerofs: Eine auf P2P-basierende Technologie, die euch die verschlüsselte Synchronisation eurer Daten über das lokale Netzwerk oder das Internet ermöglichen soll. Client-Software wird es erst einmal für Windows, Mac OS X und Linux geben. Ihr könnt via Peer to Peer nicht nur die eigenen Dateien synchronisieren, auch teilen ist möglich.



Wer mag, der kann auch die aerofs-Server nutzen – doch wer sollte das wollen, wenn es ja P2P gibt? Was ich dazu sage? Hört sich gut an – noch muss man sich allerdings gedulden –  eine öffentliche Version gibt es nicht, man kann sich auf den Seiten von AeroFS allerdings um einen Invite bewerben.

Kleiner Tipp für diejenigen, die Google  Mail in Verbindung mit Microsoft Outlook nutzen: Go Contact Sync Mod. Synchronisiert eure Outlook-Kontakte mit euren Google-Kontakten und vice versa.



Neben dem Zusammenführen könntet ihr auch einstellen, dass entweder Google- oder Outlook-Kontakte Vorrecht haben bei der Synchronisation. Auch die automatische Synchronisation in Intervallen ist möglich.
