FreeFileSync synchronisiert Daten zwischen mehreren Rechnern im gleichen Netzwerk.Außerdem kann man Sicherheitskopien von Ordnern/Dateien auf beliebigen Medien anlegen.Für die Kopiervorgänge kann ein Zeitintervall vorgegeben werden, so muss man sich nicht mehr selber darum kümmern.Auf Wunsch kann FreeFileSync die Backups komprimieren.

Yeah – unser aller liebster Dienst Dropbox ist softwaretechnisch in Version 1.0.0 angekommen. Den kostenlosen Dropbox-Client bekommt ihr ab sofort für Windows, Linux und Mac OS X. Neu in der Version 1.0.0 unter anderem: vereinfachtes Einstellen der selektiven Synchronisation. So könnt ihr zum Beispiel sagen: Rechner B hat alles synchron bis auf den Ordner Bilder. Heisst, nicht jeder Rechner muss zwingend eure komplette Dropbox synchronisieren.

* Stop the Dropbox location changer widget from jumping all over the place in the tour.
* Fixed case where the Dropbox preferences window wouldn't always become active when clicked from the menu bar on Mac OS X versions before Snow Leopard.
* New "Easy Relink" dialog in the tour. Now when you link with the same account as a previous installation you will be greeted with a fast path to configuring Dropbox. This retains your Dropbox location setting as well as your selective sync settings.
