Mit dem Gratis-Tool können Sie Ihre persönlichen Daten in einem beliebigen Ziel-Verzeichnis auf Ihrer Festplatte oder in einem Netzwerk sichern. Die Auswahl der zu sichernden Daten wird verzeichnisweise vorgenommen - Unterverzeichnisse werden automatisch mit gesichert.

Auf Wunsch werden die Daten komprimiert gespeichert. Filterfunktionen erlauben auch das bequeme Backup von ausgewählten Dateien - zum Beispiel aller Word-Dokumente. Das Erstellen eines Backups erfolgt entweder manuell oder automatisch - zu einem festgelegten Zeitpunkt oder bei jedem An- oder Abmelden des Benutzers.

Auch als 64-Bit-Variante verfügbar.

Hat man bei verschiedenen Cloudanbietern Speicherplatz, fällt es manchmal schwer, die Übersicht zu behalten. Auch bei großen Dateien haben manche Anbieter eine Grenze gesetzt. Mit Cloudevo soll das alles zur Vergangenheit gehören. Nachdem man ein Konto erstellt hat, kann man seine verschiedenen Cloudkonten hinzufügen und bekommt im Explorer eine Laufwerk angezeigt, in dem alle Cloud-Speicher vereint sind.
Beim verschlüsselten hochladen werden große Dateien auf verschiedene Anbieter gesplittet (kann man in den Einstellungen des Programms seinen Wünschen anpassen).

Cloudevo legt auf den einzelnen Cloudspeichern neue Ordner an. Bereits hochgeladene Dateien sind hier also ausgenommen.

Dar is a command-line software aimed at backup and archiving of large live filesystems. DAR uses selective compression (not compressing already compressed files), strong encryption, may split an archive in different files of given size and provides on-fly hashing. DAR knows how to perform full, differential, incremental and decremental backups. It provides testing, diffing, merging, listing and of course data extracting from existing archives. Archive internal's catalog, allows very quick restoration of a even a single file from a very large, eventually sliced, compressed and encrypted archive.
