Neu : RitzDVB ver.0.6.4.2
« am: 09 April, 2005, 07:08 »
DVB-Application for DVB-Cards (XP/W2K only)

Supported Cards

- Premium-Cards:
SS1, Technotrend-Premium, Hauppauge Nexus (DVBs + DVBc)

- LowBudget-Cards: (Only tested by BetaTesters):
SS2, Pinnacle PCTVSAT, NOVA, TT-DVBc-Budget and Twinhan 1020/1030A

IMPORTANT: RitzDVB comes WITHOUT any codec-setup for LowBudgedCards.
That means: If you have a LowBudgetCard you need working dvbcore-xgr-graphs which are based on registered codecs on your machine. (e.g. from an installed and working MyTheatre 3.xx)
In this case you can copy your working xgr-graphs into folder RitzDVB\Graphs
(see manual chapter "LowBudgetCard HowTo" and "Other Remotes as SS1-RC5" for further Info about LowBudgetCards)

I wrote this application to watch&record for myself, so please do not write Wish or Bug Lists.
If you like my program you can use it, otherwise consider trying other dvb applications. Wink

Features:

- Record/Play-Modes: PVA (Premium Cards) + MPEG
- Hardware OSD over Premium DVB card TV-Out
(EPG/Channel list/Play & Record Files/Timers...)
- Channel editor included
- Language editor included
- Scheduler included

Version 0.6.4.2

0.6.4.2 is offered as Full_Package (10MB) and as Update for 0.5.0.6 (5MB).
If you choose the Update, please note that the update is only working for the previous version 0.5.0.6! means: you need an installed and working RitzDVB_0.5.0.6_Fullpackage on your machine for update. Older Versions of RitzDVB are NOT supported in this update. The Update-Zip can simply extracted into the current RitzDVB 0.5.0.6 folder via "Extract to folder..." from Winzip or Winrar.

    * NEW: Persistent EPG (Offline EPG)

    * Desktop-EPG Changes:
    * new: EPG can export in XMLTV format (incl. channels)
    * new: Search Function over EPG from all channels
    * upd: now/next: corrected doubled events
    * new: now/next: own column for channelnumber
    * new: now/next: sorting by titleclick of column
    * new: now/next: implemented "Add Timer" & "Switch to channel" also into WhatsNow/Next
    * new: Statusbar for some EPG-Grabbing-Info

    * OSD-EPG Changes:
    * new: "Custom EPG-Ranges"
      (create your own TimeRanges for EPG eg."20:00-22:00" and additional Ranges can be related to FavoriteGroups eg. "10:30-11:45 [Sports]")
      further Info about the new EPG-Ranges and a few samples you'll find in manual, reach via menu info->help.
    * new: Inputting ch.# in OSD "Custom EPG-Ranges","Whats now all Channels","Whats next all Channels" will now jump to that epg position (instead of switching channels as in previous versions). NOTE: inputting "1" will take you to the beginning of the channel list; inputting # higher than largest channel number will take you to the end of the channel list.

    * Options->EPG: New Settings:
    * "use internal EPG grabber"
      (can be switched off if you do NOT want RitzDVB to catch EPG-Events)
    * "Grab EPG only for Favorites"
      (EPG is only grabbed for channels with an assigned Favoritegroup)
    * "Delete Events older than days"
      (EPG-Database Events older than this value will be cleaned out)
    * "Show Quickinfo on channel change"
      (here you can disable showing the internal QuickInfo-OSD after tuning to a channel)
    * "Show events hours back"
      (here you can set how many hours back events are shown in DesktopEPG and OSD "Whats on this channel" - of course this is limited to the "Delete Events older than days"-Setting)
    * "OSD EPG-Ranges: do not display date for today-events"
      (in OSD "EPG-Ranges" this will only display the time of events from today)
    * "OSD EPG-Ranges: do not display channel# for each event"
      (in OSD "EPG-Ranges" this will not show the channel# in each single line)
    * New Settings for XMLTV-EPG Export
      (here you can define the XML Filename/Path/Encoding for the XMLTV Export)

    * Channeleditor: New features:
    * Now includes the Editor for "Custom EPG-Ranges"
      (here you can create your own Ranges for the new OSD "Custom EPG-Ranges")
      further Info about the new EPG-Ranges and a few samples you'll find in manual, reach via menu info->help.

    * Options->Expert: New Settings:
    * new: Number of new EPG Events grabbed into Database per interval (20ms)
      Please use this setting very carefully! The optimal value will depend on your Hardware and the Satellite you are tuning. It can significantly improve the speed of getting new epg-events, BUT also slow down the whole application if it's too high.

    * Commandline/SendMessage Changes
    * new: Now RitzDVB supports creating internal Timers via CommandlineTool "SendMsgToRitz" with new parameter TIMER:
      Format:
      TIMER:"CH|mm/dd/yyyy hh:nn|DURMINUTES|EVENTNAME"
      -----
      Description:
      CH = Channelnumber in RitzDVB
      mm = Month (2digits)
      dd = Day (2digits)
      yyyy = Year (4digits)
      hh = hour (2digit)
      nn = minutes(2digits)
      DURMINUTES = Duration in minutes
      EVENTNAME = Title for Event
      -----
      Sample:

      SendMsgToRitz TIMER:"5|03/14/2005 13:00|70|Star Trek"

    * updated Languages:
    * upd: german language file
    * upd: bosnian language file by Enver
    * upd: czech language file by Barda

    * 3rd Party Developers:
    * For 3rd Party Developers who need an output of RitzDVB channellist and Favoritelist (with all values you see in channeleditor) I designed RitzCH.dll
      It's a very simple to use dll which forward the channellist and favoritelist directly from Ritzdvb files channels.dat and FAV.dat.
      The next version of dvbepg will use it to show channelnames from RitzDVB, and last version of dinzdale's channeltool is using this dll, too.
      Also there is now a SDK available for Developers with examples of how to SendMessages directly to RitzDVB (for remoting) and how to work with RitzCH.dll. Samples are in Delphi and C++. If you're a developer and interested in the SDK, please send me a PM.

About the new persistent EPG

I added a Database to catch and hold EPG-Events.
An internal polling checks every 20ms for new EPG-Events, compares what it finds with the existing database, and add it into the database. Only Events from Channels in your Channellist are added (to improve the performance and response of the Database).

With a blank EPG-Database you'll have to wait till epg-events are added to the database. But this is only by first start, for all following starts the grabbed events are still in Database - only new events will be added.
When you want to grab the EPG from a specific channel, but you have before switched to other channels in fast order, you have to wait until events for the last channel are added (because the other events are in the queue and are added first). Restarting RitzDVB directly into a channel will enable event grabbing beginning with the current transponder.

The method how EPG is retrieved in OSD (via DB or LiveData) is as follows:
* QuickInfo = LiveData (to show the quickinfo as quick as possible without waiting for grabber)
* WhatsNowDetail = LiveData (to have equal data as quickinfo)
* WhatsNextDetail = LiveData (to have equal data as quickinfo)
* WhatsOnThisChannel = Database (for faster response)
* WhatsNowAllChannels = Database (for faster response)
* WhatsNextAllChannels = Database (for faster response)
* Custom EPG-Ranges = Database (for faster response)

- If you're using your own language file - Don't forget to edit the new Captions
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope you'll enjoy it - Thank you folks Very Happy

Hallo Cookie,
