DVB-Application for DVB-Cards (XP/W2K only :!: )

SS2-DVB-S (Driver must be <= 4.3.0), Pinnacle PCTVSAT, NOVA, TT-DVBc-Budget and Twinhan 1020/1030A/102g/1025
IMPORTANT: RitzDVB comes WITHOUT any codec-setup for BudgedCards.
That means: If you have a BudgetCard you need working dvbcore-xgr-graphs which are based on registered codecs on your machine. The new AddOn-Wizard include some graphs, but as said the corresponding codecs are not included. (see manual chapter "BudgetCard HowTo" and "Other Remotes as SS1-RC5" for further Info about BudgetCards)
I wrote this application to watch&record for myself, so please do not write Wish or Bug Lists.
If you like my program you can use it, otherwise consider trying other dvb applications. :wink:

RitzDVB Layout:- graphical freshup of all Toolbars
- freshups trough all windows
- redesign of Desktop-EPG and Channeleditor
Options:- under Layout: added some predifined common global Styles (NativeXP,Standard,Office11,Flat,Ultraflat)
- under Layout: enhanced the settings of the SimpleMode - Visible Items (now SimpleMode can also hide the Main-Menu!)
Channel-Bookmarks:- this is a very small new feature in which you can set markers on channels. These bookmarked channels you can list, or switch in a loop, or delete.
- "Mark Channel" with a bookmark you can do
via the RightClickMenu in channelTree
or via the OSD-Submenu F3 (or the yellow button on the Soft-Remote)
or via the full button ( F8 ) within the "OSD-Channellist", "OSD-WhatsNowAllChannels", "OSD-WhatsNextAllChannels", or the "OSD-EPGRanges" in the channel-lines
- "Clear all bookmarks" you can do via RightClickMenu in Channeltree, or via the OSD Submenu ("yellow"-key on remote or ALT+F3)
- "Show OSD-List of bookmarked channels" you'll find in the Submenu-OSD
- "Switch to next Bookmarked Channel" you can reach fast via the "full"-key on remote or F8
- "Delete all bookmarked channels" you'll find in the RightClickMenu in Channeltre (be carfull with this function)
Scheduler- new: "Timers for channelswitches"
now you can add Timers without Recording. For these Timers with Type "Ch.Switch" you just have to input the Begin of the switching.
from this also the SendMsgToRitz commandline Param "TIMER:" was enhanced by the type of Timer (0=RecordTimer, 1=SwitchTimer)
this param can be used from extern applications to drop a timer from RitzDVBs internal Scheduler. The params are the same as for the "TIMER:" param (already documented in the SendMsgToRitz manual)
ScanCorrection Data:- In the channeleditor you'll find a new register "ScanCorr. Data".
There you can input Name of Channels which are used to override the incoming ScanData during a Scan. The identifiers are SOURCEID,SID,NID. as Sample for Astra: "0192";"208";"133";"My Channelname";"My Providername". So when you scan the satellite 0192, and the incomming channel SID&NID fits to one of the CorrectionTable, RitzDVB will take these names from the table instead of data which comes from sky.
With this method you can correct channels which comes from sky with blanc or wrong channelnames. You can input this Corr.data manual, or you can copy records from the channels tab into this ScanCorr.Table.
Database- New Firebird Server version 2.0 included which offers better performance.
For best results I recomend to make a full DB backup&restore after you updated your RitzDVB. This feature you can reach inside RitzDVB via menu Database->Compact
Scan-Module:- the full Scan-Process now provides more info during the scan
Devices:- Support of the dvbcore included device settings dialog. such as eg SoftScaling for the SS1 device.
(SS1/Nexus SoftScaling sometimes can fix the OverlayOutput problems with a Nexus on some newer pc-hardware in hw-mode.)
Minimize to Traynow by minimizing RitzDVB will go to tray by default. A encanced RightClick PopUpMenu at the SysTray Icon is available there.
To set the minimize handling back as it was in older versions you can deactivate the SysTray minimizing under the RitzDVB options.

about Softscaling
When you have:
- a Nexus,SS1,TT-Premium
- plus a newer NVidia PCIExpress graphic card
- plus using your Nexus in Hardwaremode
you'll maybe see no picture on your desktop monitor or only see it when you are moving the RitzDVB windows. This seems a problem of the Nvidia Overlay buffer.
If you want to solve this Nexus+Nvidia issue you have 2 possibilities.
a) when your primary purpose is to watch tv on your PC, then switch to softmode via a graph which uses software mpeg codecs (bypassing the hardware decoder). This allways offer a clearer, better, correct scaled picture on your pc-Monitor.
b) but when your primary purpose is to watch TV trough a nexus tv-out connected TV, and the pc-monitor picture quality is not as important, then you can try to activate the softscaling feature to get some picture also on your pc-monitor. This Nexus/SS1/TTPremium setting dialog you'll reach now via Options->Video or via Menu Hardware->ActiveDevice. But, as said, the quality of the pc-monitor picture via softscaling is not as good as using the pure softmode via a graph and mpeg codecs.

Install: Just extract this zip into your current ritzdvb 0.8.1.3 folder
simply choose "extract to folder.." within your extractor program and choose your current ritzdvb folder as target - confirm overwriting files

for ASTRA there is a preconfigured AddOn-Pack included (since vers 0.8.1.3) which you can install via the
AddOnWizard - see below.
For other satellites there are some additional pre-configured packages or transponderfiles at the RitzDVB member-forum. Check
www.ritzdvb.com for further info
Quick install for ASTRA1. Start the included
AddOnWizard.exe2. inside the wizard choose the package
ASTRA_FULL_Ger_Ritz by double click
3. confirm the Extracting and Overwriting
4. Start RitzDVB
5. (if you have a Budget Card, RightClick on TV-Panel to select a Graph)
PS: The included ASTRA Channellist is just a short quick list with only the german providers. If someone wants to add other/more channels in list simply add it from Pool into your list. (Channellpool you can reach in the Scan-Module)

Some important Infos about Budget Cardsif you have a BudgetCard (DVB-Card without included mpeg-hardwaredecoder as eg. the Twinhan,SS2,Nova,PCTVSat,...) and you're use RitzDVB the first time, you must run the
"DVBcore_Register.bat"[/i] as first.
This register the dvbcore.dll as directshow filter. And this is required to use and build some graphs for video/audio decoding. These graphs are descriptions-files and tells your machine what codecs to use to decode the packeged mpeg2 format of video and audio.
Via the AddOn-Wizard you can install some of these graphs.
But keep in mind that only graphs are working where the pointed codecs inside are installed properly on your machine.
Otherwhise you'll get a error as
"Cannot Initialize DirectShow Playback" If none of the included graphs work build a graph yourself as described in our BudgetCards-FAQ
