What is DVBSBridge?
DVBSBridge is the software package, which delivers full MCE TV experience for DVB-S channels. DVBSBridge is not a standalone application. It is a bridge, which connects MyTheatre application to MCE. MCE sees this connection in its natural way - as a (DVB-T) tuner device, providing user with a full control over incoming content, including timer and one-touch recordings, EPG, pause live TV, replay etc.

DVBSBridge for MyTheatre, version 0.2b
Version 0.2 beta of DVBSBridge for MyTheatre is released. It contains the following changes comparing to the previous version:
- "Scan for services" does not find any channels is fixed
- Channel change requests failing from time to time is fixed

Windows MCE unterstützt ja eigentlich nur DVB-T Geräte ...Diese Software schlägt im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes eine Brücke von My Theatre (DVB-S) zu MCE...und gaukelt MCE vor das es sich um DVB-T handelt ...sodass man DVB-S mit My Threatre unter MCE benutzen kann ...

Hmm, ich glaub bei meinem HTPC bleib ich beim DVBViewer ;-) Bei meinem Arbeits-Rechner werde ich mich mal damit spielen :D

DVBSBridge for MyTheatre, version 0.21b
Version 0.21 beta
of DVBSBridge for MyTheatre is released. It contains the following changes comparing to the previous version:
- "Scan for services" does not find any channels when channel type is incorrectly set in MyTheatre is fixed
- 10 channels limitation in beta version is substituted with a limited trial time - 30 days since release date.

- Support for AC3 sound
- Support for EIT packet reproduction for SkyStar1 family of cards

Naja... leider auch nicht mehr als 'ne Spielerei. EPG geht zwar jetzt mit der neuen Version, aber ein wirklicher Vorteil (z.B. mit einer Full-Featured-Karte Video und alle ausgestrahlten Tonspuren in einer TS-Datei aufzeichnen) dürfte ja technisch nicht lösbar sein :'( ...
Hab übrigens vorhin ein merkwürdiges Verhalten von MyTheatre bemerkt: und zwar hat es immer selbständig nach mehreren Minuten auf den letzten (Stunden zuvor) per DVBSBridge aufgerufenen Sender umgeschaltet (wohlbemerkt: während MyTheatre alleine lief - also ohne eine zusätzliche Software, die auf den BDA-Brückentreiber zugreift)...

So ist es. Zumal MyTheatre Geld kostet und zukünftig auch DVBSBridge. Ist ja nur eine Demo momentan verfügbar.

Mehr Möglichkeiten bietet ja die ProgDVB-Version - aber da ist ja wieder die FF-Karte der Haken. Egal - auf jeden Fall ist's schon eine geniale Idee, die eine kleine Marktlücke füllt. Ich find's ja auch irgendwie faszinierend - aber ich hab sowieso 'ne Schwäche für diese Art von Software (sowas kaufe ich mir immer, obwohl ich's meist gar nicht brauche ;) ). Naja... und solange der Preis von DVBSBridge angemessen ausfallen wird... !?

Version 0.4 beta of DVBSBridge for MyTheatre is released. It is a major update of DVBSBridge functionality. Please read installation instructions carefully when installing new version or upgrading from the previous one! It contains the following changes comparing to the previous version:
- Introduction of DVBSBridge windows service
- Introduction of DVBSBridge Configuration utility for easy installation and configuration
- MCE standby functionality is supported now (subject to compatibility at the driver level)
- Timer recordings without the need for user to logon
- EPG information generation in xmltv format
- Support for different character encodings for channel and provider names

DVBSBridge for MyTheatre, Release Candidate, v 0.9
Release Candidate (version 0.9) of DVBSBridge for MyTheatre is released. It contains the following changes comparing to the previous version:
- Installation executable
- DVB-T tuner driver fix (it caused sporadic "no services found" error during scan for services in MCE and sporadic absence of the signal when waking up from standby)
- Selection of channels to be scanned for EPG information
- Fix for MyTheatre crash with empty channel names and/or providers
DVBSBridge service, Release Candidate, v 0.9
DVBSBridge service is introduced as generic DVBSBridge element with own installation executable. It is required for proper operations of DVBSBridge versions for ProgDVB or MyTheatre and have to be installed before them.
